LADY GAGA TO MAKE BEST ALBUM YET!

RWD magazine reports Lady Gaga’s next studio album, titled Born This Way, is guaranteed to include some of the best work she’s ever created. The “Alejandro” star recently surprised Beyonce with some of the finished material. Bee asked her “Telephone” collaborator, “’Where the f**k do you get these ideas from?’ to which Gaga replied: ‘I don’t know Bee, it was just the way I was born’.” There is no official release date for Born This Way, however fans can expected the album to drop sometime next year.

GAGA’S METALLICA DANCE BREAK

A video has emerged from Lady Gaga’s Lollapalooza set, which features the star taking a dance break.   In the clip, she invites Lady Starlight out on the stage and the two break into a choreographed dance routine to Metallica’s “Metal Militia.”   In the clip, the two end their short dance routine and Gaga launches into a performance of her new song “You and I.”

SOULJA BOY LEAKS ALBUM COVER

According to Rap-Up.com, Soulja Boy Tell’Em has issued the official cover for his forthcoming album, The DeAndre Way. The “Pretty Boy Swag” rapper is looking to release his third studio album, which includes “Blowing Me Kisses” featuring Bei Maejor and “Speakers Going Hammer,” on November 2nd.

CIARA IS SINGLE!

Hollyscoop.com caught up with Ciara to find out if she’s dating 50 Cent or not. The “Ride” singer claims that she is “single,” because she “wants someone who is confident, someone that’s fun, someone that can support me and motivate me, and they gotta be sexy too.” While she wouldn’t spill any further details about her love life, she did say that she’s focusing all of her energy on completing her long-awaited Basic Instinct album. There you have it!

DRAKE VISITS JIMI HENDRIX GRAVE

During an interview with Rolling Stone, Drake revealed that he recently visited the tombstone of Jimi Hendrix. Drizzy actually wrote the rock legend a “message on a pack of Zig-Zags” that read “still inspired.” Turns out, the Canadian rapper is a huge fan of Hendrix. Drake told the magazine, “I play the DVD of Hendrix at Woodstock to pump me up before I perform. Watching him go out there at 10 in the morning in sh**ty weather and conquer the world always gives me a little more adrenaline.”

T.I. TO APPEAR BEFORE JUDGE

According to TMZ, T.I. is scheduled to appear before a judge in Atlanta after traces of codeine were allegedly found in the rapper’s car. The outlet is also saying that Tip reportedly tested positive for the substance, which was said to have been found in Styrofoam cups in his vehicle. In addition, Clifford is charged with violating two other agreements of his probation during the stop, including possession of ecstasy and associating with a convicted felon. We previously reported the “Got You Back” rapper and his wife, Tiny, were arrested two weeks ago for drug possession.

KID CUDI HAD DRUG PROBLEM?

In the October/November 2010 issue of Complex magazine, Kid Cudi admits to doing cocaine in the past to help him get through the day. Scott stated the drug helped him during interviews when “people wanted to know a lot about [his] personal life.” To mask his coke usage, Cudi would “smoke weed” to calm himself down. However, the rapper says he QUOTE “never thought it was a problem, but I was definitely high-fiving death a couple of times.”   Fans can expect the emcee to address topics like this on his next studio album, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager.

JORDIN TO RALLY FOR AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Jordin Sparks is working to raise awareness about the need for more after school programs. Sparks is joining Quakers Chewy Granola Bars, the children of Thurgood Marshall Academy’s Bridges program in East Harlem, and nonprofit organization Afterschool Alliance, to draw attention to the need for more programs. The youngest American Idol winner is reportedly expected to speak to students for an hour at Thurgood Marshall Academy this Wednesday at 3 PM.

WIN A PHISHY BASS LESSON

Phish fans who pre-order bassist Mike Gordon’s third solo album Moss, will automatically be entered to win a private bass lesson with Gordo.   Anyone who pre-orders the album, which gets released on October 19th, will also receive one of four limited edition sketch replications of the original Moss album cover signed by Mike himself.   You can hear Gordon play some tunes off Moss when he kicks off a solo tour at The Troubadour in West Hollywood, California on November 6th.   Meanwhile, Phish will kick off their 14-date fall tour in Bloomfield, Colorado on October 10th.  

SEAL PREPS SIXTH STUDIO ALBUM

Seal is gearing up to release his sixth studio album, Seal 6: Commitment. The first single is titled “Secret,” and is reminiscent of great love songs Seal has produced in the past.   Seal teamed up with GRAMMY-award winner David Foster on the album.   Foster produced Seal’s 2008 album Soul as well. Seal 6: Commitment is set to be released on September 28th.

GET MAROON 5’s ALBUM TOMORROW

We’re 24-hours away from the day that Maroon 5 fans have been anxiously waiting for.   Tomorrow the band’s third studio album Hands All Over hits shelves.   It’s already spawned two singles, the songs “Misery” and “Give a Little More,” and there are sure to be more where that came from.   Be sure to pick up Hands All Over, which also features a collaboration with Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott, tomorrow.

DAUGHTRY AND GEORGE LOPEZ

It’s a good day to watch some late night TV.   That’s because Daughtry are going to be performing tonight on George Lopez’s hit talk show Lopez Tonight.   Be sure to tune in to TBS at 11 PM Eastern to see Daughtry rocking the stage.

LINKIN PARK ANNOUNCE ISRAEL SHOW

Linkin Park have very few tour dates planned for 2010, but fans in Israel will have the chance to see them play. The band has announced a show in November in Tel Aviv in support of their new album, A Thousand Suns. We’ll be sure to let you know when and if they add more U-S dates.

AKON IS BACK WITH NEW SINGLE “ANGEL”

Akon is back in the game with a new upbeat single “Angel,” which will be featured on his forthcoming album.   The uplifting, feel good dance track is out now.   Although you can hear this tune, Akon is still in the studio working on his forthcoming disc, tentatively titled Stadium.   He recently told us that right now, he’s lining up the people he wants featured on the project (See Related Cut #4). According to AOL, the album may include guest spots from Lady Gaga and Dr. Dre.   No word on when the album will be released.

MARK RONSON WILL WORK IN RECORD STORES

He may be a big-time producer and coming out with his own album called Record Collection, but that doesn’t mean Mark Ronson is above working at a record store. According to NME.com, as part of Ronson’s promotion for his new disc, he’ll visit some record stores and help employees stock the shelves with his new effort. Get Record Collection in stores September 28th.
