P!NK HAS ACCIDENT AT GERMAN SHOW

P!nk apparently had a rough ending to her concert in Nuremberg, Germany.   The pop star wrote on her Twitter account that she “didn’t get clipped” into her harness correctly, and was dragged offstage into a barricade.   She had to go to the hospital to get x-rays, but said that she’ll be “fine.”   She apologized to the crowd saying that she was “so, so, so sorry to end the show that way.”

KATY PERRY TOPS HOT 100 CHART

“California Gurls” by Katy Perry featuring Snoop Dogg holds at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for a sixth straight week while, Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna holds at number two. “Airplanes” by B.o.B featuring Hayley Williams climbs one spot to number three, “OMG” by Usher featuring will.i.am slips one notch to number four and Travie McCoy wraps up the top five with “Billionaire” featuring Bruno Mars.

EMINEM TOPS DIGITAL SONGS CHART

Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna is on top of the Digital Songs chart for a third straight week, shifting another 314-thousand downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan.   Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg’s huge summer hit “California Gurls” is at number two, Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” is at number three and “Airplanes” by B.o.B featuring Hayley Williams stays put at number four.   Enrique Iglesias’ “I Like It” featuring Pitbull leaps seven notches to number five.            

TAYLOR SWIFT TO HOST WEBCAST WITH FANS

Taylor Swift will host a live webcast on Tuesday to discuss with her fans around the world details of her highly-anticipated third album. Fans can log on to their MySpace, Twitter or Facebook account to submit questions to Taylor live in the Ustream chat window. Taylor says, “I’ve gotten so many questions from fans… and it’s so incredible to see how excited everybody is about what’s next. I want them to be the first to know about my new music, and I can’t wait to talk to everybody as directly as I can!” The chat begins at 5 PM Eastern on TaylorSwift.com or Ustream.tv/TaylorSwift.  

IS GAGA MOVING TO BEL AIR?

Could Lady Gaga be the Fresh Princess of Bel Air?   According to TMZ.com, the pop star is reportedly spending 25-thousand dollars a month to rent a home that sits on one acre of land in the ritzy Los Angeles neighborhood.   The website reports that it also happens to be surrounded by a gate.

SOME POSSIBLE WINEHOUSE DETAILS

We reported yesterday that Amy Winehouse’s next album is rumored to be released in January, and now some details about the project are coming out.   According to SingersRoom.com, a source said that the follow-up to 2006’s Back to Black is going to be “very personal,” and that it will focus on her split from ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil, as well as her battles with drug and alcohol addiction.   The insider added that Winehouse is “narrowing down the material” for the album now.

P!NK DOESN’T LIKE IMPERSONATORS

P!nk wants you to watch out for people impersonating her online.   The pop star took to her Twitter page to say that there are “many” people pretending to be her on Facebook, but that they’re all fraudulent.   She said that the only site she uses is Twitter, so “don’t believe these fakers!”   Keep up to date with what’s going on with the real P!nk at Twitter.com/Pink.

KELLY CLARKSON GETS CAR BROKEN INTO

Kelly Clarkson woke up to an unfortunate surprise.   The original American Idol wrote on her Twitter that she and a friend had their rental car broken into.   Clarkson added that whoever did it didn’t manage to take any of their stuff, so she’s “laughing” at them.

JAY-Z, SADE PREP KEEP A CHILD ALIVE CONCERT

According to Billboard.com, Jay-Z and Sade are expected to perform during Alicia Keys’ annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball in New York. On September 30th, the entertainers will help raise funds for children affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. Keys explained in a statement, “I am overwhelmed by their generosity in helping us continue the tradition of making the Black Ball the best fundraiser in NYC.” She added, “There are more surprises coming up.”   We’ll keep you posted.

To date, Keep A Child Alive has raised over ten-million dollars since 2004.

MASHONDA: “ALICIA AND SWIZZ DATED SINCE 2007”

To end the speculation, Mashonda revealed to Vibe.com that the beginning of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys’ relationship definitely occurred while she was still married to the producer. Even though Swizz has told media outlets he was legally separated when he met Keys, his ex-wife claims she knew six months before Swizz “admitted to having his affair on Mothers Day 2008.” Despite the new couple going public recently, Mashonda insists, “This has been going on for a very long time… the s**t is deep.” For more, visit Vibe.com.

KELLY ROWLAND DELAYS SELF-TITLED ALBUM

SingersRoom.com has learned the release date for Kelly Rowland’s self-titled album has been changed. The “Commander” singer says she wants to take her time to perfect her debut effort on Universal/Motown. The project was initially slated to arrive September 21st but will now land later this fall.

BRUNO MARS “THE OTHER SIDE” VIDEO

NELLY FURTADO SCORES MOST-VIEWED VIDEO OF THE WEEK

Nelly Furtado’s new music video for “Bajo Otra Luz” (“In A Different Light”) has garnered over 2.7-million views on Vevo and YouTube since its release, making it the most-viewed video of the week.   The song is the third single off Furtado’s Spanish language album Mi Plan.   The song and video feature Mala Rodríguez and show Nelly wearing an array of outfits, including a take on “Dorothy” from the Wizard of Oz, a Spanish bullfighter and many more.   Furtado will take the stage at the Reventon Super Estelle concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on July 24th.

U2 ON RECORDING NEW ALBUM

This week, U2 rescheduled the U-S tour dates that were postponed after Bono underwent emergency back surgery. The band has now uploaded a video for fans, apologizing for the postponement and updating us on Bono’s condition. He says he went through a difficult time after the severe injury but is now up walking and moving around. The Irish singer says they’ve used the downtime to record new songs for an upcoming album, and they may play some of the material while out on tour. We’ll keep you posted.

BBC TO AIR MOVIE ABOUT GELDOF AND LIVE AID

It’s been 25 years since Bob Geldof organized the Live Aid concerts to raise money for famine relief in Ethopia, and now, his efforts are being made into a TV film.   BBC announced this week that filming has already begun in Dublin for the 90-minute drama called When Harvey Met Bob.   The flick portrays Geldof and promoter Harvey Goldsmith’s work to get the events off the ground.   The movie will air overseas in the fall but there is no word on if it will make its way stateside.   Read more at BBC.com.
