STEP UP 3D SOUNDTRACK
The Step Up 3D soundtrack track list has been released. The soundtrack features Estelle, Busta Rhymes, Roscoe Dash, T-Pain, Chromeo, Trey Songz, Jessie McCartney and more. The album’s latest single, Flo Rida’s “Club Can’t Handle Me” featuring David Guetta, is available now. A video for the track directed by filmmaker Mark Klasfield will premiere soon. The album also features songs from Jazmine Sullivan and Mims. It arrives in stores and at all online retailers on July 27th. Step Up 3D opens in theatres nationwide on August 6th.

3Oh!3 are on pace to sell an estimated 40 to 45-thousand copies of their new album, Streets of Gold, according to HitsDailyDouble.com. Last week’s number one album, Eminem’s Recovery, is expected to top the Billboard album chart again, selling more than six figures for the second week in a row. Em sold a whopping 741-thousand copies of the album in its first week.
MATT KEMP’S GAME AFFECTED BY RIHANNA?
Rihanna might be enjoying her relationship with Los Angeles Dodger Matt Kemp, but some sources think the relationship is hurting his game. Kemp was recently benched after hitting a serious slump in the month of June. The outfielder only hit a .196 with just one homerun in 22 games. SingersRoom.com reports many feel Rihanna is to blame for Kemp’s sudden lack of success since the couple has been spending a lot of time together.
JENNIFER LOPEZ GOES BEHIND THE MUSIC
A new episode of Behind The Music will premiere on Vh1 this weekend and the episode will focus on Jennifer Lopez. JANET READY FOR ESSENCE MUSIC FESTIVAL
The 2010 Essence Music Festival takes place this weekend. It features performances from Alicia Keys and Mary J Blige, Janet Jackson, who is excited to perform there for the first time ever (See Related Cut #5). The 44-year-old singer and face of the August issue of Essence magazine will play for a sold-out audience. Concertgoers can expect performances from Earth, Wind & Fire, LL Cool J, Jill Scott, Charlie Wilson, Monica, Gladys Knight, Keri Hilson, Trey Songz and Raphael Saadiq during the 2010 Essence Music Festival.
GAGA GETS HER PICTURE TAKEN
Lady Gaga is helping out both Polaroid and the MIT Museum. According to the Associated Press, the pop star posed earlier in the week for a picture taken by a 20-by-24-inch camera, one of the items that Polaroid has collected that “revolutionized photography in the 20th century,” and it will now be on display. In January, Gaga signed on to be Polaroid’s creative director.
GAGA HELPS ROLLING STONE SELL MAGAZINES
It’s shouldn’t really be a surprise — you put Lady Gaga on the cover of your magazine, you sell more copies. According to the New York Post, the most recent issue of Rolling Stone, which features a scantily-clad Gaga on the front, has sold almost double the amount of copies than it usually sells in the first week. A company spokesman wouldn’t confirm exact numbers, but did say that they expect it to “be easily the best-selling issue of the year.”

According to Us Weekly, a source said that the pop star will wear at least seven custom-made gowns. No word on when exactly the nuptials will take place, but the wedding is rumored to be happening in India.

Did Katy Perry surprise her mother with a facelift? According to British paper The Sun, Perry’s father, Reverend Keith Hudson, told his congregation that his daughter “bought” his wife a facelift, and that Katy and her mother now look like sisters because it took “25 years off her.”
MADONNA IS JUST A REGULAR MOM
Madonna may not lead a regular life most of the time, but she insists that when it comes to parenting, she’s just like any other mother. According to ContactMusic.com, the pop star spoke about her daughter Lourdes, saying, “I usually tell her to take off her three-inch or six-inch platforms and pull her skirt down just a little bit and take off some of the black eye make-up around her eyes.” But regardless of all that, Madonna did insist that Lourdes has “amazing style.”

Kelly Rowland confessed to Entertainment Weekly that the split from her longtime label home at Columbia Records wasn’t a mutual decision. The “Commander” singer admits that she was dropped because her records “didn’t perform as well as maybe they wanted them to.” Rowland explains, “We live in an industry where you’ve got to bring in money. KINGS OF LEON PLAY NEW SONGS IN LONDON
Kings of Leon paid back their loyal British fans this week by playing four new songs for them at a show in Hyde Park. The songs are off the band’s upcoming album, the follow-up to 2009’s Only By The Night. NME reports that working song titles include “Southbound,” “Immortal” and “Radioactive.” The band says they just played the new songs to their record label. CHRIS BROWN FAKED TEARS AT BET AWARDS?
There’s speculation that Chris Brown used tear-inducing eye drops during his Michael Jackson tribute at the BET Awards. According to UsMagazine.com, a source stated his bodyguard gave him the drops right before he performed MJ’s “Man in the Mirror.” The singer’s rep has reportedly denied the accusation. In related news, SingersRoom.com reports Brown has completed a new music video called “Matrix.” The clip was shot recently by director Collin Tilley, but it’s unknown if the song is off the follow-up to Graffiti.

Swizz Beatz owes the IRS more than 2.2-million dollars for delinquent state and federal taxes. His lawyer told TheBoomBox.com, “We have been discussing the issue with the government for years and are currently negotiating an amicable resolution of the dispute” The news comes as the producer is expecting a baby with his fiancé, Alicia Keys.
LIL WAYNE GETS PROBATION FOR ARIZONA CASE
BallerStatus.com reports Lil Wayne’s lawyer is pleased to have reached a “favorable plea agreement” stemming from a drug charge in Arizona. Instead of added jail time, the rapper will only receive three years of probation — which will begin when he leaves prison. As previously reported, Weezy is currently serving a year at Rikers Island for unrelated weapons possession charges. Fans can download the emcee’s new song, “I’m Single,” on iTunes now.

Taylor Swift is featured in the latest ad that’s part of the Got Milk? Campaign. In the ad, the singer posing in a pair of jeans and cowboy boots, with a guitar in hand. This is the second appearance for Taylor in the Got Milk? ads. Her first campaign ran back in the fall of 2008.

In a recent interview with FOX News, Dolly Parton defended the actions of her god-daughter, Miley Cyrus. 17-year-old Miley has received harsh criticism lately about being “too sexy” for her age. Dolly believes Miley is struggling to fit in and grow up in the spotlight. She said, “She’ll land in the right place. I really know she has everything it takes. She is just trying to find her way and she will.”
