JUSTIN BIEBER DEBUTS NEW VIDEO ON SYTYCD

Justin Bieber’s new video for “Somebody To Love” featuring Usher made its world premiere during the first live results show of So You Think You Can Dance last night.   Bieber has sold more than five-million albums worldwide and reached number one in 17 countries with his latest release, My World 2.0, which spawned the hit singles “Baby” and “Somebody To Love.” The 16-year-old will kick off his huge summer tour at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut on Wednesday.  

MILEY AND BRET ON GMA TODAY

If you’re up early today, tune in to Good Morning America.   On the show, Bret Michaels will join teen pop sensation Miley Cyrus on stage.   The duo will perform the Poison classic “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” live as part of the Summer Concert Series.   Good Morning America airs at 7 AM Eastern on ABC but if you’re in New York City, head to Rumsey Playfield in Central Park to see the performance in person.

KATY PERRY HOLDS ON TO NUMBER ONE SPOT

Katy Perry will remain at number one of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the second straight week with “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg.   The California girl scored another 353-thousand downloads of the tune, according to Nielsen SoundScan.   Usher remains at number two with “OMG” featuring will.i.am.   Also holding in place on the chart is “Airplanes” by B.o.B featuring Hayley Williams at number three.   Travie McCoy climbs one spot to number four with “Billionaire” featuring Bruno Mars, and Ke$ha falls one notch to number five with “Your Love Is My Drug.” Meanwhile, Lady Gaga’s “Alejandro” returns to its highest ranking, climbing one spot to number six, while “Break Your Heart” by Taio Cruz featuring Ludacris falls one slot to number seven.  

LADY GAGA JUST WON’T STOP

Lady Gaga just keeps making history.   According to a Gaga fan site, her video for the song “Alejandro” has now surpassed 20-million views on YouTube, making it the fastest ever clip to reach that mark. Head to LadyGaga.com to watch the controversial vid now.

JOHN MAYER PLAYS A LATE SHOW

If you were looking at your Twitter feed late Wednesday night, you might have gotten some insight into something special.   John Mayer posted at the very last second that he would be performing at a club in New York City at 3 AM, and that if you paid ten bucks, you’d get to see him play for an hour.   Be sure to follow the singer-songwriter at Twitter.com/JohnCMayer in case another opportunity like that comes up again.

SARA BAREILLES SINGLE OUT TUESDAY

NICOLE SCHERZINGER ISN’T THE BEST DRIVER

Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger may be dating racecar driver Lewis Hamilton, but that doesn’t mean she’s talented behind the wheel.   In an interview with Maxim magazine, the Dancing with the Stars champion said that her beau is “more afraid” driving with her than he is during one of his races.   Nicole also admitted in the interview to being a Halle Berry fan because she’s “naturally gorgeous.”

EMINEM, USHER TO PERFORM DURING BET AWARDS

We’ve just learned Eminem, Usher, T-Pain and Alicia Keys have all been added to the official line-up for the 2010 BET Awards Show. The newly confirmed musical acts join previously announced performers Kanye West, T.I., Drake, Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj and Diddy/Dirty Money. Hosted by Queen Latifah, the 2010 BET Awards Show will broadcast live from Los Angeles on June 27th at 8 PM Eastern.

DR DRE RESPONDS TO SINGLE LEAK

Dr Dre has released a statement regarding the unauthorized leak of his first single, “Under Pressure” featuring Jay-Z. The hitmaker stated on his official website, “I want to set the record straight for everybody who’s been waiting to hear my music.” Dre added, “The song that’s on the Internet is an incomplete song that I’m still working on. When it’s ready, you’ll be hearing it from me.” The Scott Storch-produced track is the first we’ve heard from the producer’s long-awaited Detox album. It’s rumored the disc will drop this fall.

BEYONCE TIRED OF “SINGLE LADIES” ROUTINE?

According to NecoleBitchie.com, Beyonce reportedly wants to retire the dancing routine for her 2008 smash hit, “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).” Sources reveal the singer “loves the fact the video and the routine have been so huge and has really enjoyed performing ‘Single Ladies’ live, but that’s it now, she’s moving on.” The source added that Bey “doesn’t want to be part of a long-term joke, [but] that’s not to say she doesn’t get a big kick out of watching other people do it.”

Beyonce is currently enjoying her time away from music. She was recently spotted with Jay-Z at a UJA-Federation Luncheon at The Pierre Hotel in New York.

EMINEM SUPPORTS GAY MARRIAGE!

During an interview with The New York Times Magazine, Eminem revealed that he’s matured and changed his views on a lot of things. The notoriously homophobic rapper admits that he now supports gay marriage. Slim Shady feels “if two people love each other” then “everyone should have the chance to be equally miserable, if they want.” Em also discussed his recent Artist of The Decade Award, what he dislikes about touring and more. BRANDY EXPLAINS POOR ALBUM SALES FOR HUMAN

The L-A Times reports Brandy is taking full responsibility for the lukewarm success of her last album, Human. The reality star confessed that the project “was lacking [her] belief in it. It lacked [her] vision.” B-Rocka admitted that “bottom line, if you don’t believe in something it’s not going to go.” In 2008, Human debuted at number 15 on the Billboard 200 chart with 73-thousand units sold. She is currently working new material and the second season of Brandy & Ray J: A Family Business on VH1.

BILLIE JOE KISSES MALE FAN ON STAGE

Green Day is the kind of band that believes in equal rights and singer Billie Joe Armstrong proved he’s no homophobe on Wednesday night. TMZ has photos of the frontman kissing a male fan onstage at a show in England. Billie Joe has been married to his wife, Adrienne Nesser, since 1994.
