Infantree is a Los Angeles-based band which formed in 2007 with Alex Vojdani (vocals, lyrics, guitar, keys) Matt Kronish (vocals, lyrics, guitar, banjo) and Donald Fisher (vocals, lyrics, keys, bass, mandolin, guitar) as high school students in Calabasas, CA before solidifying the line-up in 2008 with the addition of drummer Jordan Avesar who provided not only a serious backbeat, but also a psychological glue.
Alex, Matt and Donald began playing guitar and writing songs in elementary school. They naturally picked up other instruments through jamming with older musicians that would not relinquish the ax. There’s a shifting, track to track, from one writer/lead singer to the next, and who plays which of nearly a dozen instruments. Yet, there’s a cohesive, rooted sound, to Infantree that completely belies their youth.
