MTV RADIO’S MORNING FACTS FOR MONDAY, MARCH 8th, 2010

JUSTIN BIEBER ON QVC

Justin Bieber will appear on QVC next week, according to MTV.   The teen sensation will show up on the home shopping channel’s QVC Presents: Q Sessions Live, where he’ll perform live and sell special copies of his upcoming album, My World 2.0.   Fans will be able to purchase the record two weeks prior to the March 23rd release date and will also get an exclusive DVD.   Bieber’s spots on the network will air on Tuesday and Friday.   Check your local listings.  

BRET MICHAELS TEAMS UP WITH MILEY CYRUS

Miley Cyrus and Bret Michaels have teamed up for songs that will appear on each other’s albums.   Michael helped Miley cover Poison’s classic “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” which will appear on Cyrus’ next album, according to Billboard.   Miley also joined Bret on his latest single, “Nothing to Lose.”   You can see Bret Michaels on The Celebrity Apprentice, which premieres on Sunday at 8 PM Eastern on NBC.

GERMANY GOES GAGA

Lady Gaga is big in Germany.   The pop star took home three awards at Thursday night’s Echo awards in Berlin, including Best Newcomer, Best International Rock or Pop Act and Hit of the Year for her song “Poker Face.”   According to ContactMusic.com, Ke$ha and Rihanna performed at the event.

LMFAO ADDED TO UMF

LMFAO have been added to the Ultra Music Festival, which takes place in Miami, Florida on March 27th and 28th.   The group joins David Guetta, The Crystal Method, Josh Wink and many more at the two-day festival.

LADY GAGA IS A ROLE MODEL

Lady Gaga knows that she is looked up to by millions of adoring fans, and unlike some other celebrities, the pop star enjoys being a role model.   According to MTV News, Gaga told reporters in London last week that she finds it “so important” to be a positive influence and that she loves connecting with her fans.   Read more at MTVNews.com.

LADY GAGA LOVES FISH AND CHIPS

What do you do when you’re in the U-K?   Well you eat fish and chips of course, and if you’re Lady Gaga and her crew, you get a lot of it.   According to British paper The Daily Star, the pop star ordered more than 200-dollars worth of fish and chips while in Cardiff, Wales last week, and, according to a source, has become obsessed with the local cuisine, and is even trying to find the right recipe to have her chefs in America make it when she comes home from touring.

RIHANNA KISSES A ROBOT?

During the ECHO Awards in Berlin, Germany, Rihanna did something on stage that we’ve never seen her do before. While performing her number one hit song, “Rude Boy,” Ri Ri decided to show some love to a robot on stage. Check it out on YouTube now! <WM>

JOHN MAYER IS GOING TO NEW PLACES

John Mayer will be taking his Battle Studies tour to countries that have never had the pleasure of seeing the singer-songwriter live and in person.   It was just announced on his official Web site that the “Daughters” crooner will be heading to the Philippines in mid-May, and then to Spain at the beginning of June.   Learn more about the shows at JohnMayer.com.

KATY PERRY, THE SMURF?

Katy Perry is going to be a Smurf?   Well according to Variety, the “I Kissed a Girl” singer has been tapped to voice one in the forthcoming big screen adaption of the hit TV show.   Perry will be voicing “Smurfette,” the only female Smurf.   Variety also reports that Neil Patrick Harris, George Lopez and Alan Cumming have already signed on to the project, which is set to begin shooting next month.

JAY-Z, BEYONCE DO THE WHITE HOUSE

The Washington Post reports Jay-Z, Beyonce and Trey Songz visited the White House late last week. A White House official said the entertainers — alongside Bey’s, mother Tina Knowles and industry veteran Kevin Liles — toured the building and even met with President Barack Obama. BOW WOW PREPS EIGHTH STUDIO ALBUM

According to his official blog, Bow Wow has announced that his next album will be a double disc effort “full of meaningful songs.” The rapper, who was rumored to have gone into retirement, stated his upcoming material will tap into another side that his fans have “never seen or heard before.” The emcee plans to reach every “demographic” and create songs everyone will love. The yet-to-be-titled album will be his first release off Cash Money Records.   No word as to when the LP will hit stores. <WM>

RUMOR CONFIRMED: BRANDY, FLO RIDA A COUPLE!

We previously reported Brandy and Flo Rida were spotted hanging out in Miami last month and it’s now been confirmed that the pair are an item. The news was spilled during the Wendy Williams Morning Show when Vivica Fox stated, “He’s going out with Brandy now, good for her, he’s hot and he’s a nice guy too.” There you have it! <WM>

DIDDY GETS A LAUNCH DATE FOR LAST TRAIN

Just when you thought Diddy’s Last Train To Paris would never see the light of day, the mogul has announced his release date! The upcoming project, which includes Dirty Money’s “Love Come Down” and “Angeles,” is slated to arrive June 22nd.
