JUSTIN BIEBER’S YOUNGEST FAN

Justin Bieber has a lot of young fans out there, but his youngest seems to be a three-year-old girl named Cody.   A video of an emotional Cody was posted on You Tube.   In the clip, the young girl is being consoled by her older sister while her mother helms the camera.   The girl says Bieber’s music makes her cry and that she wants him to be a part of her family.     Towards the end of the clip, the phone rings and the little girl suddenly perks up and says, “I bet that’s Justin Bieber,” and then happily scampers off.

“WE ARE THE WORLD” AND SADE TOP ITUNES CHARTS

“We Are the World 25 for Haiti” once again tops the iTunes single chart, besting the Black Eyed Peas’ “Imma Be,” Train’s “Hey, Soul Sister,” and “Need You Now” from Lady Antebellum.     Sade’s Soldier of Love tops the album chart holding off a strong advance from the Black Eyed Peas’ The E.N.D.   Lady Antebellum come in at number three this week, followed by Lady Gaga’s The Fame Monster.  

GLEE TOPS U.K. ALBUM CHART

Glee The Music Season One Vol. 1 leaped 68 spots to top the U-K album chart.   According to Billboard, the Glee album had been in the top 75 for three weeks on import sales, but raced to the summit after selling over 62-thousand copies following its official U-K release on February 15th.   The all-star Helping Haiti charity cover of “Everybody Hurts” is the number one single in the U-K for a second straight week.  

LADY GAGA COOKIES

Lady Gaga has a dedicated group of fans that she lovingly refers to as her “little monsters.”   A pair of college students in Florida came up with the idea of making Lady Gaga cookies.   The cookies resemble the singer in her various outrageous outfits.   They actually did catch the attention of the Gaga, who tweeted, “This is so amazing.   I’m laughing so hard, I think I just peed a little my fans at the best.”   <JC>

RIHANNA READIES NEXT ALBUM

According to MTV Korea, Rihanna is already contemplating the direction of her next studio effort. The pop princess, who experimented with darker material on her Rated R disc, explained her next project won’t necessarily sound that way. Ri Ri stated, “In terms of the bass” on Rated R, she “love the sound of it” and that she “really liked the bottom, the grime of it.” However, for her follow-up, she wants “to combine that with more energetic, up-tempo pop records, then I think that will be a happy marriage. JAY-Z AND EMINEM TO PLAY OXEGEN FEST

According to RapRadar.com, Jay-Z and Eminem are scheduled to perform during Ireland’s Oxegen Music Festival in July. Slim Shady, who hasn’t toured in Ireland since 2004, will reportedly close out the three-day concert.   Other confirmed performers include Muse, Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta, Vampire Weekend, John Mayer and many more.

KANYE WEST RELEASES NEW VIDEO

Kanye West has just released another videos off 2008’s 808s & Heartbreak album. ‘Ye teamed up with director Nabil Elderkin, who also helmed the clips for “Paranoid” and “Welcome to Heartbreak,” for the rapper’s newest single, “Coldest Winter.” Head over to MTV.com for your first look at the video that’s being dubbed Kanye’s “most haunting” to date.

FREY TO HEADLINE CELEBRITY FIGHT NIGHT

Each year, celebrities and athletes join Muhammad Ali for Celebrity Fight Night, an event filled with fun, music and an exciting auction.   At this year’s 16th edition of the event, Glenn Frey of the Eagles will headline the entertainment.   It all happens March 20th in Phoenix.   Randy Jackson, Reba McEntire, producer Jerry Weintraub and racecar driver Danica Patrick will all also be in attendance. LUDACRIS JUMPS ON TEYANNA TAYLOR’S “SMOOCHES”

According to Rap-Up.com, Ludacris will be featured on Teyanna Taylor’s new single, “Smooches.” The Bangladesh-produced track is off the former MTV Sweet Sixteen 16 participant’s long awaited debut album, From a Planet Called Harlem. Taylor was set to release the upcoming project back in 2008, however the delay has given her ample time to work with hot urban producers like Polow Da Don and many others. <WM>

THE FRAY LOVE ICE DANCING

The Fray were in Vancouver to play at the Olympics on Tuesday, and the band decided to check out an event on Monday night, then wrote about the experience on their Twitter account.   Apparently, the Denver rockers had the chance to see hockey, but opted for ice dancing instead.   They wrote that they “doubt those hockey players look as good on skates as the Canadian Ice Dancing team.”   Keep in touch with the band at Twitter.com/TheFray.

LEONA LEWIS HONORS ALEXANDER McQUEEN

Leona Lewis attended the Elle Style Awards on Monday in London, and the pop star took to her Twitter account to explain a little about why she chose the outfit that she did.   The “Bleeding Love” singer wrote that she decided to wear an Alexander McQueen dress “in memory” of the late designer. RUSSELL BRAND IS LIKE ELVIS AND JESUS?

Katy Perry and fiancé Russell Brand are very much in love, and it’s obvious to see by some of the things the pop star says about her comedian lover.   According to British paper The Sun, the “I Kissed a Girl” singer boasted about her fiancé, describing him as “Jim Morrison meets Charles Manson meets Jesus meets a little bit of Elvis Presley. He’s a walking genius” and that “just standing next to him makes (her) feels smarter.”  

IS PCD LEAD SINGER BACK WITH EX?

We had thought that Pussycat Doll lead singer Nicole Scherzinger and ex-boyfriend Lewis Hamilton had broken up, but now reports are saying that the two are back on again.   British paper The Sun reports that the pair was seen kissing in public, which is sparking rumors of a reconciliation.   During the time apart, Scherzinger shot down rumors that she was having a fling with R&B singer Jay Sean.

DAUGHTRY’S LATEST GOES PLATINUM

Is Daughtry’s sophomore album following in the footsteps of their hit debut?   It certainly appears that way, as Leave This Town took to its first step toward greatness since the RIAA certified it platinum, meaning it has sold over one-million copies.   If it will reach the heights of the band’s first album, which is now five-times platinum, still remains to be seen.

MICHAEL FRANTI DOES PHILLY

PETE WENTZ TEAMS UP WITH UNICEF

Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy has been named the national spokesperson for the 2010 UNICEF Tap Project. The Tap Project works towards providing safe drinking water to children around the world. MUSE TO HEADLINE T IN THE PARK

Muse and Eminem have grabbed the headlining spots for this year’s T In The Park festival in Scotland. 30 Seconds to Mars, Vampire Weekend, Rise Against and John Mayer are also on the lineup for the July 9th to the 11th festival. Tickets for T In The Park go on sale this Friday.

LIL JON READIES THE WORLD FOR CRUNK ROCK

Award winning producer and rapper Lil Jon is set to release his solo album Crunk Rock under Universal Republic this summer. This highly anticipated project features mega artists such as The Game, R. Kelly, 3OH!3, Pitbull, Elephant Man, David Guetta, Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em, Ying Yang Twins and many more. The first single from the effort, “Ms. Chocolate” featuring R. Kelly and Mario, is out now and the disc drops on June 8th.  

ROCK HALL PRESENTERS ANNOUNCED

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place next month in New York City and organizers have just announced who will be presenting each inductee.   Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio will induct Genesis, Barry and Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees will induct ABBA, The Hollies will be inducted by Steven Van Zandt, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong will honor The Stooges and Jackson Browne will induct David Geffen.   It all happens on March 15th and you can learn more at RockHall.com.  

T.I. MAKES FIRST PUBLIC APPEARANCE SINCE PRISON

On Monday night, T.I. made his first public appearance since prison, stepping out with fiancée Tameka “Tiny” Cottle in support of her Alzheimer’s research fundraiser For the Love of Our Fathers in Atlanta.   The event was filmed for Cottle’s BET reality show, Tiny & Toya, which chronicles the lives of Cottle and Toya Carter, Lil Wayne’s ex-wife and the mother of his first child.   According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, T.I., who joined Cottle onstage at the end of the benefit, said “I am very well, very happy to be seen.” The rapper is still serving the remainder of his sentence on a gun-possession charge in a Georgia halfway house.   He’s also recording tracks for his forthcoming album in a private studio.

STING TO TOUR WITH ORCHESTRA

Sting has announced plans to tour alongside the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.   The singer will head out on a world tour this summer, performing some of his hits re-imagined for symphonic arrangements.   The trek kicks off on June 2nd in Vancouver before hitting Denver, L-A and Chicago throughout the summer. U-K GOVERNMENT PROTECTS ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS

Upon rumors of Abbey Road Studios possibly going up for sale, the U-K government has stepped in to list the building at Grade II, which gives it a protected status.   The building, which was erected in the 1830s, was marked historic because, according to the government, “It has huge cultural importance and a very special place in the hearts of recording artists and music lovers a like.”   The new status will ensure that aspects of the building will be preserved for years to come.   Owners EMI say they don’t intend to sell the studios rather are in talks with third parties about revitalizing the site.
