JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE: THE HASTY PUDDING MAN OF THE YEAR
Justin Timberlake was roasted at Harvard University on Friday night, as he was honored as the Hasty Pudding Man of the Year. The Grammy and Emmy award winner received his pudding pot from the nation’s oldest undergraduate drama troupe Friday night. Hasty Pudding Theatricals said JT was selected because he’s “one of pop culture’s most influential entertainers.” Timberlake is one of the stars of the upcoming movie The Social Network. The movie expected to be released later this year is about the early days of the Facebook social networking site – set at Harvard. Anne Hathaway was honored as Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year last week.
P!NK TALKS OPRAH
P!nk was on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday and she took to her Twitter account to write about the experience. The “Sober” singer wrote that the talk-show queen is “very beautiful and her energy is pure power.” She also said that she didn’t think she sounded her “best” because it was taped at seven in the morning. LADY GAGA SUPPORTS HAITI
Lady Gaga couldn’t participate in the big “We Are The World” collaboration to raise money for Haiti, but that doesn’t mean she’s not doing her part. The “Bad Romance” singer told Access Hollywood that she has been working on her own “charity projects” to help the earthquake-ravaged country. She also told the TV show that right now she’s been rehearsing for her new tour, so while there were rumors she turned down a chance to sing on the new “We Are The World,” she actually was “never supposed” to be a part of it.
MADONNA AND JESUS ARE STILL TOGETHER!
So the rumors were false! It appears that despite reports of Jesus Luz breaking up with Madonna because of the large gap between their ages, the duo is still very much together. According to the New York Daily News, a source says that the couple showed up at a London premiere for the movie A Single Man and they were “all over each other and were even kissing in front of everyone,” even though Jesus supposedly left the after-party early while Madonna stayed until the end. MADONNA GETS THE CROWD MOVING
Madonna really got the crowd moving when she showed up in a club in New York City on Wednesday night. The New York Post reports that Madge held an impromptu dance competition as she said that she was looking for new people to accompany her on her next tour. New couple alert! According to PerezHilton.com, Brandy and Flo Rida are rumored to be dating. The pair was reportedly spotted hanging out in Las Vegas last week with sources claiming, “They are definitely hooking up.” The entertainers haven’t yet confirmed or denied the claims. CIARA DENIES REUNITING WITH BOW WOW
Ciara has become the latest victim of a Twitter hacking. Apparently, someone broke into her account and announced that the singer had reunited with her former fling, Bow Wow. After regaining control of her Twitter page, Ci Ci tweeted that she thought it was “very disrespectful for whoever it was to do this.” She later wrote, “All is fine now.” In related news, Ciara is currently working on her fourth studio album with The Dream and Tricky Stewart.
WHAT’S NEW WITH SHINEDOWN
Shinedown talked with Billboard about their upcoming year and what they have in store. The Florida band is touring for a good part of 2010 and says they’re not going to work on new material until 2011, as they have two or three more singles to release off of their 2008 disc The Sound of Madness. Shinedown also told the outlet they hope to film some of their shows this year and turn the footage into a live DVD. Even though the rockers aren’t recording new music until 2011, fans can hear a new song from them called “Her Name is Alice” on the Alice in Wonderland soundtrack, which hits stores April 2nd.
TAYLOR SWIFT WILL MAKE TIME FOR LOVE
The love life of Taylor Swift seems to be a regular topic of discussion — even Taylor is talking about it. Although she leads a busy life, Taylor told Australian newspaper the Herald Sun she will make time for love. She stated, “I’ll make time for someone if I’m intrigued by them or I want to get to know them. I’m a hopeless romantic. I love the thought that love can happen in an instant and maintain itself and be a success story instead of a failure.” As for her relationship with actor Taylor Lautner, Swift said she learned to live her life and not worry about people writing about it explaining, “I never want to turn into that person who says to whoever I may be seeing or thinking about going on a date with: ‘Let’s not go to dinner in public tonight because that might get written about.’ I don’t want to let the fact that people are watching me change the course of my actions in relationships.”
SAMBORA TALKS ABOUT BON JOVI’S TOUR, FUTURE
Richie Sambora has filled fans in on what to expect from Bon Jovi’s upcoming Circle World Tour. The guitarist explained to Billboard that the group will play songs from all different records, including their first and second albums, “and kind of intersect them into the set as time goes on.” Sambora also said the band may do Slippery When Wet or Lost Highway in their entirety during some of the five gigs in May they have set up at Jersey’s new Meadowlands Stadium. Richie also revealed Bon Jovi has a greatest hits album “ready to go” with three new songs. That’ll probably be out towards Christmas. The Circle tour kicks off Thursday in Honolulu.
MGMT’S CONGRATULATIONS
MGMT talked with MTV News on the GRAMMY red carpet. The band told the outlet their new disc, Congratulations, will be hitting stores sometime in April and that it has a weird, soul feel to it. The band’s label, Columbia, isn’t willing to put a month to the official release date though, telling MTV News the actual debut for the disc has not yet been determined.
FRANCIS BEAN WORKS WITH GERARD WAY
Francis Bean, daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, is making her singing debut on a song that features My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way. Bean is lending her vocal chords to Dresden Dolls’ singer Amanda Palmer’s solo album and will take part in a group sing-a-long on the track that includes Way, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Tegan and Sara and more. There was a bomb scare at a 30 Seconds to Mars appearance in West Hollywood late last week. A man rushed a building, where Jared Leto and his band were, holding a wrapped package. The suspect called out the frontman’s name and mentioned something about explosives, panicking the crowd there to see the group. Security tackled the man and called the LAPD, who searched the man’s car and opened the package. No bomb was found and the box contained candy and a blender. Learn more at TMZ.com.

EVE INVOLVED IN FEDERAL LAUNDERING CASE?
ABC News reports Eve is denying any involvement in a federal money-laundering case with her boyfriend, Teodorin Nguema Obiang. He is being targeted for allegedly laundering millions on dollars to U-S companies and asked the rapper to set up a fake company called Sweet Pink, Inc. to help him seem like a legitimate businessman. However, Eve tweeted: “None of that is true. Please don’t believe everything you read on the Internet. It’s negative and I don’t f**k with negativity. People tryna test me.”
JAY-Z FILES 3.7-MILLION DOLLAR LAWSUIT
According to Reuters, Jay-Z has filed a lawsuit against Highland Capital Management LP and NexBank SSB for a business venture gone wrong. Hova took out a five-million dollar loan to establish J Hotels, however when the real estate market tanked, he tried to give the land away to avoid foreclosure. Jay claims the “defendants embarked on a bad faith course of conduct” by not taking the land immediately, which resulted in interest fees on the loan for the mogul. Jay is seeking 3.7-million in damages.
SNOOP AND “DARTH VADER” FOR NEW ADIDAS LINE
Snoop Dogg recently helped Adidas promote their upcoming collection for Originals x Star Wars. According to Rap-Up.com, the emcee was joined by “Darth Vader,” “R2-D2” and a legion of Stormtroopers in Times Square New York on Thursday. You can also expect to see Snoop appear in commercials promoting the line later next month.
ALICIA AND BEYONCE SHOOT VIDEO IN BRAZIL
According to Brazilian newspaper O Dia, Alicia Keys and Beyonce are scheduled to shoot a video together in Rio de Janeiro tomorrow for Keys’ new single, “Put It in a Love Song.” The entertainers will be dressed in Carnival-inspired costumes, including Swarovski headwear, in front of the amazing backdrop that is Rio’s landscape.
