MILEY CYRUS TATTOO?

Us Weekly has posted a photo of Miley Cyrus poolside with what looks like a tattoo under her left breast.   The 17-year-old was in Miami Beach last week when a photographer caught a shot of the words “Just Breathe” stamped on her chest.     Miley’s older brother Trace recently revealed that he and their father, Billy Ray, have matching tattoos.  

RIHANNA ROCKS MILITARY THEME FOR “HARD”

Rihanna rocks military gear in her video for her new song “Hard,” off her Rated R album.     The clip was shot in Los Angeles and features an appearance from Young Jeezy.   Rihanna told MTV News the concept is “couture military,” adding, “Everything is surrounded around the idea of something military. We have tanks, we have troops, we’ve got helicopters, we’ve got explosions. We’ve got lots of cute outfits, lots of bullets. It’s crazy.”   For more check out MTVNews.com.  

JAY-Z AND ALICIA KEYS TOP BILLBOARD HOT 100

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind” holds at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for a third week.   Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” also holds the line at number two.   Ke$ha’s “TiK ToK” climbs two spots to number three, while Owl City slides one spot to number four with “Fireflies” and Iyaz climbs one notch to number five with “Replay.”   Jason DeRulo falls two spots to number six with “Whatcha Say” and Black Eyed Peas bring “Meet Me Halfway” back into the top ten for the first time in five weeks as it climbs five slots to number seven, matching the track’s prior peak. “Sexy Chick,” French DJ David Guetta’s single featuring Akon, slides one spot to number eight, while Jay Sean’s “Down” rises one notch to number nine, trading places with Britney Spears’ “3,” which dips to number ten.

SEND PARAMORE YOUR HOLIDAY LOVE

Fans who wanna send Paramore some holiday cheer are now welcome to. The band has posted an address on their Web site where fans can mail cards and small gifts during the holiday season. They do ask though that the messages and gifts are “nice, clean and appropriate.” Details can be found at Paramore.net.

KANYE WEST DOES STORYTELLERS

Kanye West has been relatively quiet since his “VMA moment” with Taylor Swift, however the emcee is returning to the scene early next year. Rap-Up.com reports fans can expect West to drop a two-disc Vh1 Storytellers album, which will include his hit songs “Heartless,” “Touch the Sky,” “Good Life” and “Stronger.” The concert disc was recorded while Ye performed for his fans back in February. You can get your 70 minutes of Kanye when it hit shelves on January 5th.

DRAKE REVEALS MATERIAL OFF THANK ME LATER LP

According to MTV News, Drake has revealed the name of the first track on his debut album, Thank Me Later. Drizzy told MTV the song is titled “Fireworks” and he’s really “proud” of it. The Toronto star often deflects questions about the album explaining to fans that once “you put in the CD, all your questions are answered right away. It’s a great, triumphant record right away. That opens up the scheme, and from there, hopefully, it’s a colorful journey for everybody.” Thank Me Later is due out in February.

ALICIA KEYS LOVED WORKING WITH BEYONCE

We recently reported Alicia Keys’ upcoming Element Of Freedom album will include only one collaboration and that’s with Beyonce. According to BET.com, the “Doesn’t Mean Anything” vocalist goes into detail on what it was like recording with Jay-Z’s wife. Keys explained “working with Bey was very fantastic and the song that we have together is very crazy.” She added, “We just had a party in the studio. It was such a genuine energy. We just clicked. It was unforgettable.”

LIL WAYNE IS “ON FIRE”

Rap-Up.com has gotten the newest material from Lil Wayne titled “On Fire.” The   Cool & Dre-produced track reportedly samples Amy Holland’s “She’s on Fire” from the Scarface soundtrack and is scheduled to appear on Weezy’s rock inspired Rebirth album. 50 CENT: “JAY-Z THINKS HE’S JESUS”

50 Cent is over the whole Jay-Z “all black everything” movement. According to Rolling Stone magazine, 50 recalls how difficult it was working with Hova when it came down to shoot a video for one of Jay’s artists. Fif truly believes Jay “has a king complex, he thinks he’s f***ing Jesus, you know what I mean? This J-Hova s**t.”

PITBULL GETS HIT WITH LAWSUIT

According to TMZ, Pitbull is facing a lawsuit from a California nightclub that claims he was a no-show for a scheduled performance on May 14th. The “Calle Ocho” rapper went to the sound check the day of his performance, but he complained about the equipment and didn’t bother to show up later that night. The club paid the reggae-ton star 28-thousand dollars but is now suing him 80 grand for unspecified damages. Ouch!

VICTORIA’S SECRET MODELS LOVE THE SCRIPT

DAVE MATTHEWS TO PERFORM AT JANE GOODALL BENEFIT

GAGA ANNOUNCES GRAMMY NODS TO FANS

On Wednesday night, when the GRAMMY nominations were announced, Lady Gaga was performing at a concert in Boston.   The pop star was nominated for five awards, and she took a break during her set to humbly announce to her fans in attendance that “we” — meaning them and her — were up for the trophies, which of course made the whole crowd go nuts.   See video of it at PerezHilton.com.

LILY ALLEN IS FEELING SICK

Lily Allen just announced that she would be taking a break from music next year, but apparently, it might come even sooner because of sickness.   According to British paper The Daily Star, the singer-songwriter has been battling laryngitis and bronchitis as she tries to finish up her current tour.   Lily said that she’s had them “for about two months and I’ve just been doing so many gigs and just not resting. I have been to an ear, nose, and throat specialist a few times and they stuck a big camera down my throat. It’s not very nice.”   We’ll keep you posted on if she’s unable to finish.

THE FRAY TALK ON GRAMMY NOMINATIONS

The Fray were nominated for two GRAMMY Awards, including the coveted category of Best Pop Vocal Album for their self-titled effort.   In a press release, frontman Isaac Slade said that the band is “stoked” about being recognized, and guitarist Joe King said he’s “not going to lie” and hopes they leave the show with a “gold record player.”   See if Joe will get his wish, when the GRAMMYs air on January 31st on CBS.

LIVE OFFICIALLY SPLIT UP

90’s favorites Live have officially split up.   According to FMQB magazine, member Chad Taylor wrote an e-mail to the group’s mailing list explaining that he and bandmates Chad Gracey and Patrick Dahlheimer’s relationship with singer Ed Kowalczyk “had grown cold.”   He went on to say that the three guys “have no plans to replace Ed at this point in time,” but that fans shouldn’t give up hope that there will be more music and tours from Live in the future.   Taylor wrote that they understand “that it will never be the same without Ed,” but that it “doesn’t mean that it can’t be great.”

AOL’S TOP ROCK OF 2009

AOLRadioBlog has compiled their Top Rock Songs of 2009. Who makes the cut? Breaking Benjamin’s “I Will Not Bow” comes in at number one followed by “Scream With Me” by Mudvayne. At three is Three Days Grace with “Break” followed by “Monster” by Skillet in the four spot. Number five goes to Linkin Park for “New Divide” and in sixth place is “Jars” by Chevelle. Finally Flyleaf come in at seven with “Again,” “You’re Going Down” by Sick Puppies at eight, Seether’s cover of “Careless Whisper” at nine and rounding out the top ten is “Hard to See” by Five Finger Death Punch.
