Kraft Entertainment has announced that newly-crowned 2009 CMA Entertainer of the Year Taylor Swift will headline Gillette Stadium next spring, with tickets to the June 5, 2010 Fearless Tour date going on sale Dec. 5.
On Wednesday, Swift won all four Country Music Awards for which she was nominated, including best album, female vocalist, music video and Entertainer of the Year. Swift is touring in support of her double platinum album, Fearless. She will be the first female solo artist to headline Gillette Stadium and the show will be Swift’s first headlining appearance in an NFL stadium. All 34 of Swift’s previously announced Fearless 2010 dates have sold out within 15 minutes.
Supporting Swift will be former American Idol contestant and top-selling country music artist Kellie Pickler and Gloriana, whose debut album entered the country music charts at number one.
In 2010, Swift will be the fourth consecutive CMA Entertainer of the Year to headline Gillette Stadium. Kenny Chesney, who won the award in 2006, 2007 and 2008, headlined The New England Country Music Festival at Gillette Stadium each of following summers.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000.
