South Florida Phenom wifisfuneral Drops Paranoid Burst of Flames “wya?”

A deep, visceral wordsmith, 19-year old wifisfuneral is as loyal as he is sagacious. Anxiously questioning the whereabouts of his sweetheart, wifisfuneral professes “never could I love you like no other” on “wya?” The first single to follow When Hell Falls, wifi’s latest album, which peaked at #17 on the iTunes Hip-Hop chart, “wya?” was dropped at the request of wifi’s Twitter followers when he asked them to “Tweet #wya if u want a new song.” “wya?” finds wifisfuneral expressing the duality of romanticism and paranoia, leaving and returning, grappling with newfound success over a milky turn-up chorus of a Cian P production. On the hook, wifi raps, “I just checked up on your location then I saw you wasn’t home/Now I’m running out of breath just to make it home, now I’m running out of breath just to/I’m steady calling to your cellphone, asking where you at?/Girl, you know I hate it when you leave, bring it back.”

After generating yet another wave of critical acclaim with the release of “instant classic” (ELLE) “slice of warm and wistful folk-pop” (PASTE) third single “Mildenhall”, The Shins have unleashed a fourth advance track from Heartworms: “Painting A Hole”. Textured with spiraling vocals and a body-swaying rhythm, “Painting A Hole” employs James Mercer’s singular lyrical voice to examine the way our society perpetuates beliefs that rarely reflect our everyday reality (“You’re painting a hole/Can you crawl up inside it?”).

James on the message behind the song:
“People create beliefs or inherit them and those beliefs very rarely reflect the reality we live in every day. Like a coyote in a cartoon, painting a hole in the side of a cliff then falling through it, I think these belief systems are just about as ridiculous as that.”

Body Language share “Free” from recent album

Brooklyn’s Body Language has always embodied something of a sensual mythos. Love and the perils of love have guided their message through the years while the twists and turns of their instrumental pop experiments carve a labyrinth to be navigated carefully. Oftentimes dark and moody, Mythos pushes forth feelings of desire against ominous backdrops only to quickly veer back into the familiar and comforting.
