This is great, and I’m not a bit surprised. Am very happy for Clay Aiken and for his fans. I can’t be there, but I’m sure it will be a wonderful evening for all who can.

Then someone forgot to tell TicketMaster that the taping was sold out because tickets are still available on the website.

    Fact-checking. It’s a good thing.

  4. Skeptic on February 24th, 2010 1:26 pm

Someone had better tell Ticketmaster to quit selling tickets if this event is sold out.

  5. Darien on February 24th, 2010 2:20 pm

I just tried to get a ticket and they are indeed sold out. Haters gotta hate I guess.

  6. portia60 on February 24th, 2010 2:23 pm

It’s also not correct that a “limited tickets” were available in the fan club pre-sale. Tickets for almost all seats were available and, in fact, were sold in the pre-sale.

This sounds like something a fan acting as a self-appointed publicist wrote.

  7. Marty on February 24th, 2010 2:24 pm

I am one of the lucky persons who will be at this concert. If one goes to TM, you might find a couple of tickets in the very back, but that is all.

  8. Allisanna on February 24th, 2010 2:29 pm

Well if it’s not 100% sold out it has to be very close to it. As Marty said, only a few tickets appear to be left and they are located in the side sections way in the back of the theater. Be sure to catch the show on your local PBS station in June.

  9. Flo on February 24th, 2010 2:42 pm

Whoppeee! I can’t wait to go to this concert. Not surprising it sold out so fast..because he is HAWT!!

  14. Check Again on February 24th, 2010 5:46 pm

@ Darien Don’t know what kind of criteria you put in Ticketmaster, but I just tried for 1, 2, 3 and 4 seats and got tickets for each quantity.

  15. Laura on February 24th, 2010 5:49 pm

How exciting! I wish I could be there, but I’m looking forward for the PBS special airing in June and also for buying the CD and I hope they also sell the DVD at PBS.

  16. Cindy on February 24th, 2010 6:06 pm

Count me as someone who would be there is I could. I am excited for this new CD. The few song titles I have heard to be included are on my all time favorite list. Can’t wait for it to air.

  17. Marissa on February 24th, 2010 7:35 pm

Such a Genuine Pleasure to be able to listen to Clay Aiken Sing. This man has an AWESOME VOCAL GIFT and I am so looking forward to his new cd and the PBS special. I TRULY WISH this Talented man continued success in all of his future endeavours.

I thank the couple of people who indicated that some tickets were still available. Apparently they called it a sell out when only balcony tickets were available. There are 4 of us who wanted to go and we could not find 4 tickets together at all,..could not find 3 either. We did find 2 and 2, not near each other in the balcony. So, thanks for the “heads up”!

  19. Corabeth on February 24th, 2010 10:32 pm

    Tickets are still available.

  20. yksask on February 24th, 2010 11:23 pm

I got two tickets. I’m going to give one away free to any friend of mine who’ll go with me. So far everyone I’ve asked has laughed at me. One person said she thought Clay was dead OMG! I don’t get why all the hate. Clay Aiken is UNF UNF UNF!!!!! I can’t stop dreaming about doing him and how smokin’ hawt he is. I will never stop loving him and I don’t care if everyone I know thinks he’s a big joke.

  21. sienna on February 24th, 2010 11:26 pm

Good luck, Clay! Sold out or not sold out, it does not matter!
The talent remains in you! Get them, kiddo!
You deserve every bit of everything! You have been through
rough times fending off unwanted attention from uninvited sources,
but somehow, you’ve always managed to keep your composure. People tried
to put you down but self-confidence and good spirit managed to pull you
up to the surface. Be proud of yourself, your accomplishments and be proud
of what you have! More power to you! We will be waiting for the SPECIAL and the new CD!

  22. Chris on February 25th, 2010 1:05 am

Looks like there are a very few random seats in the far back corner. I was dying toI go but the timing is wrong for me to travel. I will have to wait until June to catch it on PBS television. Looks like it will be an amazing evening.

  23. Joni on February 25th, 2010 12:25 pm

I am so excited I can hardly contain myself, if you have never seen Clay in concert please believe me you don’t know what your missing. We are driving in from New Jersey but believe me I would walk to Raleigh to see Clay, he has it all.

  24. annie on February 25th, 2010 2:13 pm

I’m so happy for Clay and for us Clay fans. I just hope he will be touring very soon.
Many of us are not able to make it to this one time only concert.
I’m happy that Clay has so many fans.

I’m so looking forward to this PBS special and to his new CD.

  25. annie on February 25th, 2010 2:26 pm

    yksask,
It is so generous of you to share your ticket. I’m sure if you post your offer on one of the Clay boards you will find a taker. Wish that I could go but the time is not right for me. :-(

There are a few balcony seats available and maybe some that bought tickets and
can’t make it are selling them at Ebay, not for a profit.

I am so happy that the Clay Aiken one night concert Sold Out! He is an awesome talent, and a wise, intelligent man who is going to show others how not to be bullied as young people and as an adult. His compassion for others stands out in his National Inclusion Project. He not only has an open heart for others, but a VOICE that should be heard and enjoyed.

  27. Flo on February 27th, 2010 9:57 am

I am so glad that his concert is sold out! That’s what usually happens with someone so talented as he is. The man is so intelligent and compassionate in his causes. As an entertainer, he cannot be beat. Cannot wait for his cd to be released. I will be the first one in line to get that gem.

  28. Jo Orman on February 28th, 2010 10:28 pm

I saw Clay’s last concert in Pala, in Los Angeles, and again in Asheville. If I could get a ticket, I’d go to Raleigh now! I’m not rich, and I’m not a claymate (not part of an organized group), but I love Clay and his concerts were among the best times I’ve had in my life. And I’ve had a good life! Haters should know by now that they can’t put Clay down; he’s unsinkable. Doesn’t matter what is said: Clay’s coming out on top, where he belongs.

  29. Sunny on March 5th, 2010 11:55 pm

For anyone who wants tickets there are hundreds available. Go to Ebay or Stub Hub. they must call it a sell out because all the tickets are bought by these groups trying to make money on them but there are a ton of them out there so no sell out in minutes. Dream on. Clay has lost a ton of fans. Not because he is gay but because he misled and lied to his fans for five years. Look at his Ebay . He used to be a big seller now you can’t give his junk away. But lots of tickets for you that are not selling.

  30. corinne on March 7th, 2010 1:36 am

Those tickets available on ebay have been PURCHASED. The venue SOLD them to someone. All artists have to deal with brokers and independent entrepreneurs trying to make a buck. The problem happens when fans get shafted into lesser seats and venues have nothing to offer locals at the box office.

Look at ebay for any artist. It’s a common problem. Bruce Springsteen just filed a lawsuit over it. There has to be a better way.

  31. Sophie on March 7th, 2010 3:16 am

He may not be everyones cuppa tea but the man can truely sing that’s for sure.
Wish I was making a trip to Raleigh it proves to be an exciting night..

The day that the brokers don’t buy blocks of tickets to scalp will be about damn time..

Got something to say?
