Academy Award-winning composer and musician AR Rahman is honored in the June 2009 issue of Fast Company Magazine as one of their “100 Most Creative People in Business.” Fast Company also recognized luminaries such as producer J.J. Abrams, director/producer/actor/writer Tyler Perry, fashion designer Marc Jacobs and author Nora Ephron. The Fast Company recognition comes off the heels of AR’s recent inclusion in the “TIME 100: The World’s Most Influential People.” Rahman also participated in the TIME 100 Gala, treating the crowd to a performance of his Oscar ® winning anthem, “Jai Ho.” To add to his recent accomplishments, AR was also nominated for “Best Song from a Movie,” for the 2009 MTV Movie Awards which will be broadcast live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA on Sunday, May 31st at 9p.m./8p.m.CT.
