Mike WiLL Made-It has shared the second single from his original motion picture soundtrack for Creed II — “Mantra” by multi-Grammy Award-winning artists Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell Williams.
Creed II, the latest installment in the legendary Rocky saga and starring Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone, will be distributed theatrically in the U.S. by Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures (MGM) on November 21, 2018, and Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute the film internationally. As previously announced, Grammy Award-winning producer/songwriter Mike WiLL Made-It is the executive producer for the Creed II soundtrack.

Of the new version Folick says, “We wanted to make a version of “Thingamajig” that distilled it down to its core—the melody, the lyrics, the interplay between the harmonics and the voice, the apology. I’ve been feeling lately that there’s been a flurry of apologies in the news but rarely is there a true apology. We wanted to make a version of this song that felt quiet and patient, that took the time to express the gravity of sorry. Dennis Hamm played piano on the album version of the song, but we had never rehearsed this live version. We just showed up on set and played together. I think that’s the beautiful thing about music.
