The Molochs premiere new single ‘Too Lost In Love’ at Brooklyn Vegan
“I had come in with just this repeating chorus: ‘Too lost in love to see what’s going on,’” says singer-songwriter Lucas Fitzsimons. “It just went ’round and ’round in circles because it felt so good to sing and play. It was like a mantra. The lyrics express the kind of subjectivity that comes with a person’s individual experience. You could be having the most wonderful time falling in love with someone while the world crumbles around you and you wouldn’t even notice.”
THE PAIN METHOD signs w/ Eclipse Records (ex Generation Kill, Stereomud, Pro-Pain members)
We’re extremely excited to announce the signing of The Pain Method, an alternative metal band from New York City, NY. Shortly after the breakup of Generation Kill in 2017, guitarist Rob Moschetti (Pro-Pain, M.O.D., Generation Kill) along with Jay Trenczer (Generation Kill, Mutilation) and drummer Rob Youells (Fragile Mortals, Generation Kill) began writing material for a new band, and a new album. After bringing John Fattoruso (Stereomud) and Will Winton (Thanatotic Desire) into the mix, The Pain Method was born.
“The staff at Eclipse are fans of our album, and that means a lot more to me than being on some huge label” says front man Rob Moschetti. “our album won’t get lost in the mix, because Eclipse is not an over-saturated label. They’re a hands-on operation and the perfect home for The Pain Method.” Guitarist John Fattoruso continues, “After being through the ringer of the music biz, from major labels to indies to self-releasing music, it’s great to be signing with Eclipse Records and to know exactly where we stand with them!”
Theia – “Bad Idea” Video ft. LA skater Sailor
Theia’s vision for the video was to use skating as a metaphor for life: “Sometimes life gets you down and you have hard times. You fall over. Sometimes you dust yourself off and jump up again; other times you need a helping hand,” she explains. The Kiwi singer and songwriter searched far and wide for an all-girl skate crew to help bring the video to life, and in her search came across a Vogue piece on Chicano style in LA and discovered fashion designer and professional roller skater Sailor Gonzales.

Now, Chuck Billy and Lord Vaper Pens are thrilled to introduce two expanded collections – “The Chief” Signature Series, which will include a pipe (“Tomahawk”), an Oil Cartridge Battery (“Dream Catcher”), and a 2-in-1 Vaporizer (“War Drum”), and “The Chief of Thrash!” merchandise line, which will include unique t-shirts, drawstring bags, mousepads, dog tags, phone cases, coasters and more.
Experimental pop duo Black Grapefruit
In researching the sacred feminine for the album’s creative direction, Randa looked to her ancestors for inspiration, drawing on her family tree, especially her matrilineal heritage of medicine and shamanism, to create her own version of divine blackness. This exploration led her to create her own practice centered on water healing and aromatherapy, growing the same herbs and brewing the same teas and tinctures her grandmother used to make on the Caribbean island of Grenada. To achieve the ambitious sounds of their new album, the duo synthesized Randa’s mother’s West Indian roots and the gospel of her father’s American South. Exhilarating, headphone-filling vocal harmonies and syncopated percussion are present, and Afro-Caribbean polyrhythms anchor tracks with impassioned vocal samples and lush string arrangements.
Jonathan Jeremiah Shares New Track “Mountain”
Jonathan comments: “I remember listening to lots of stuff from the ’60s and ’70s where everything was ‘steam roller blues’, everything was grandiose and over the top, and I thought ‘there’s not much bigger than a mountain’,” Jonathan muses. “I like the metaphorical idea of chopping down a mountain to get to where you want to be. And some days it feels like that when you’re recording and mixing for eighteen hours, and you have to take equipment back to the hire company, and you’re pushing compressors and amplifiers up hills… it’s very literal, it’s climbing mountains and knocking them down.”

Teague explains that “Good To You” is about her “struggle with comparing myself as a partner to other people as partners, and relaying my frustration at inopportune times… like at a wedding.” “Good To You” follows on the heels of her debut single, the laid-back slacker “Low Life” that was released earlier this year, that first showcased Teague’s incredible, raw, soaring, emotion-packed vocals.

DAEODON Delivers Genre-Fluid, Post-Grunge Music with “Teeth” on Sophomore Release, “Media Mask,” Due Aug. 24
DAEODON, the broad-ranging, post-grunge doom-rockers named for the pre-historic creature which roamed North America over 19 million years ago, delivers music with “teeth” on its sophomore EP, Media Mask.
Due for release Aug. 24, Media Mask spans across multiple genres and follows no traditional music conventions or formulas, drawing influence from Zeppelin and Sabbath to Soundgarden, Deftones, A Perfect Circle, Mastodon and Faith No More. Rife with hard-driving, precision riffs, spacious, ethereal moments, extreme highs and lows and passages ranging from blaringly loud to calmingly soft, the five-song EP is the strongest representation to date what DAEODON (day-o-don) sounds like in live performance. Tighter songwriting and clean, precise production clearly signify the band’s evolution just since the release of its early 2018 debut EP, No Time To Die, a considerably more raw affair produced by a young engineer at Steve Albini’s (Nirvana) Chicago studio.
