Rita Ora made her spectacular return to music with the release of “Your Song” in May. Now she’s back with the follow up “Anywhere,” her next UK single, which is available now on Atlantic Records. The video for “Anywhere” is also out today, and was directed by Declan Whitebloom (Taylor Swift, One Direction) and filmed in New York. You can watch the video here.
Rita co-wrote the song with Andrew Watt (the hitmaker behind “Let Me Love You,” “It Ain’t Me” and “Havana”).
“Anywhere” entwines Rita’s unmistakably modern soul with classic ’90s elements, and an exhilarating bassline. Rita wrote “Anywhere” when she was based in LA earlier this year. “I was in a routine, working every day, and found myself day dreaming about breaking out of the city and going on a road trip with my friends and never looking back.” This is Pop at its sweetest, most persuasive form of escapism.
