Sleepytown ‘Balloon’
Sleepytown is the moniker of Ryan Van Der Woude, and a cruisey-nostalgic fusion of echoing guitars with a warm acoustic rhythm undertone, which flow from a plateau for literary anecdotes. Ryan is a songwriter who has travelled through all the east coast collecting visual novels, before settling in Sydney. His songs have bloomed from the wake of hinterland cruises, towering cities, cutting through mountain-ranges in a train, laying under snowy pines, warm sandy shores and treks into the deep, eerie woods.

It’s the result of a cooperation between the producers from Kapten Studios, Dazed Music and of course the HLTR$ themselves. Although Triggered has a dark message it’s still a up beat song with funky element in the chorus.

Taking inspiration from bands such as Architects and Northlane, the Progressive metallers deliver a crushing blend of technicality and melody, without losing sight of the message they want to deliver: anger, dismay but at the same time also a sliver of hope for the world we live in. Just For Fools revisits some of the same themes of past records—romantic discontentment, mounting paranoia, a brief moment of confidence—with the distinct difference of choosing to uncrate the back-flipping demons in those feelings and give them a poke back. If Laurel Canyon and Today were for those who felt cursed, Just For Fools is a reclamation of control and the jubilant release of self-doubt from liars, gaslighters, and the rigmarole of daily life.

New Holiday Single from Sofia Talvik
For the 11th year in a row Swedish folk/americana artist Sofia Talvik is keeping up her tradition of releasing a free Christmas single. ’When it Rains on Christmas Day’ won’t fill you with that cheery ’Jingle Bells’ Christmas feeling. Quite the opposite, Sofia stays true to her tradition to explore the darker side of the Holiday.
Soft keys and soaring pedal steel guitar bring the melody forward and lift Sofia’s voice as the true feature of the song. Things don’t always end the way you picture them, or the way you would wish them to. Looking out from that window on Christmas Day, will it be a winter-wonder-land or a dark rainy day? Will you be with your loved one, or will you be alone?

She’s been accompanied in concert by Andrea Bocelli, Nicole Scherzinger and a host of international superstars.

RICHARD LYNCH PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE AMERICAN WORKER, FARMER, AND MILITARY
Living the life he sings about, is what gives Richard Lynch his edge as a singer/songwriter. They say you should write what you know…and Richard knows all about a long day’s work in the hot sun, and taking pride in a job well done. After all, Richard is a hard-working, blue-collar man. In addition to being a chart-topping country artist and co-host of Renegade Radio Nashville’s hit show, “Traditionally Lynch,” he is also a designer and builder of amazing barns, and a proud American farmer.
So, it should come as no surprise that his brand-new single release, the self-penned, “We’re American Proud” pays tribute to his fellow blue-collar American workers, farmers, and military members, whom he holds in such high esteem. As the founder of the Love Tattoo Foundation, Richard has helped to raise funds for veterans, through his series of concert events at his Keepin’ It Country Farm in Waynesville, OH.

Portland-based guitar-pop group Sinless formed in 2015. Fronted by Pittsburgh native Cor Allen, the group released their debut record Ethereality, a 4 song EP that showcased the young band’s propensity for mining the best of early ’90s 4AD, brit-pop and Madchester sounds.
Where the Ethereality EP was a full band effort, Sinless’s new EP Melodie is primarily a solo effort by Allen. Recorded entirely in his bedroom, Melodie further explores the rhythmic textures of British alternative music at the dawn of the 1990s.
