North Carolina’s RBTS WIN shares infectious track “King Summer”
RBTS WIN (Asheville, NC) are completing production on their forthcoming album Sensitivity Kit for 2017, the follow-up to 2014’s Palm Sunday.
In anticipation of the new album, RBTS WIN are releasing the King Summer EP, set for an October 21st release date on Tidal Prism. A record of the group’s transition from the densely sampled textures of Palm Sunday to the dynamic clarity and expanded scope of their live set up, the new EP is a good insight into the material as it turns a corner from the Avalanches-style sampled vinyl in order to explore a more purpose-driven instrumentation. Today the trio shares their infectious title track “King Summer” with Stereogum and it can be heard here.
Zedd Releases New Track “Ignite”
“When RIOT asked me to create the title track for their 2016 League of Legends World Championship I was immediately excited about the idea.
I’m a gamer myself and when I met with RIOT I realized that lots of their team members are passionate musicians as well which made it super fun to collaborate and create this song. They had a very specific direction in terms of what kind of emotion and feeling I should create and it felt like I was scoring a movie I haven’t seen yet. I’m incredibly excited for the gamers and the entire world to hear this song.” – Zedd

David Bazan announces a 10 song collection of Christmas songs!
“There is something that is underrepresented in Christmas music, and that’s just how uncomfortable the holidays can be for a lot of folks,” David Bazan says about his collection of holiday songs Dark Sacred Night. Back in 2002, David Dickenson of Suicide Squeeze Records approached Bazan and asked if he would be interested in doing a 7″ of Christmas carols. The result was the “I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day” b/w “Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel” single released under Bazan’s Pedro The Lion moniker. He followed it up with “The First Noel” 7″ in 2003 and “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” in 2005. Even after retiring the Pedro The Lion project, Bazan continued his run of Yuletide singles for Suicide Squeeze under his own name. These limited edition 7″s are all long out of print, but David Bazan and Suicide Squeeze have chosen ten of the fourteen tracks, remixed and remastered the material, and collected them onDark Sacred Night.
Paul Mendez drops ‘Rock The Bass’ on Noise Control
Paul Mendez may be a new name on the ever-growing roster at Noise Control but he is certainly no newcomer to the world of dance music. A well-known name in Central Scotland through his tireless work behind the decks, the mixing desk and the mic in clubs, festivals, studios and radio stations for many years, he quickly made a name for himself on a global scale. Seamlessly hopping between Trance, EDM, Urban and Commercial Dance, Mendez has over 300 releases to his name, 2 gold discs, several number 1 hits in various charts and has received massive support and earned the respect of Music Industry royalty. Having either remixed, produced for, or DJ’d alongside, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Pharrell Williams, Carl Cox and The Prodigy, they have all hailed his abilities, firmly cementing him as one of the best in the business.
Fatal Jamz shares new track “Coverboy” from upcoming album
LA powerpop songwriter Fatal Jamz will release his sophomore album ‘Coverboy’ on September 30 via Lolipop Records. Stream the album title track “Coverboy” and read an interview with the enigmatic frontman over at BULLETT.
Fatal Jamz’ Marion Belle has long been one of LA’s most whispered about cult stars. Lauded by punk legends Steve Jones, Kim Fowley, Don Bolles and more, he has helped keep the frontman alive with a voice linked to the feral and lush past of rocknroll. His early aughties groups The Drugs, and later Bowery Beasts put him on the map as a flamboyant torch singer, but it was 2013’s underground anthems Rookie and One of the Girls that established him as a seminal pop auteur. Without a doubt the music behind his Johnny Thunders-esque image has cast a shadow on his generation, while he has fallen, uncategorizable, through the industry cracks for almost a decade. Until now.

Machinedrum releases new track “Tell U” feat. Rochelle Jordan
“This track is an example of how I took a homie’s vocal that they sent me in the past and reused it in a different context, just like ‘Do It 4 U.’ I took a sampling approach to Rochelle’s accapella and recontextualized her lyrics in the same way I would with an old 90s rnb accapella in some of my older tracks.” -MACHINEDRUM

The Active Set to Release Everything Changes on Novemer 18
Los Angeles-based band, The Active Set will release their new EP Everything Changes on November 18. The EP is available to pre-order now via Bandcamp. Today, the band has shared “Say Goodbye” from the upcoming release with PureVolume. The Active Set’s Matthew Stolarz says, “This was the first song we wrote together after deciding to ditch all earlier demos and “start anew.” He adds, “I had the main chorus guitar absolutely stuck in my head; it reminded me of The Replacements, with a sort of raucous emotionality. As soon as I blurted “say goodbye” one practice I knew what the song was about, and that it was going to be something strong. We played it live a few times, but then our producer came in and had us strip back everything. We really gutted it. But I can’t imagine it any other way now. Lyrically its a dance between the hurt and indifference you struggle through with the end of certain relationships, a pained throwing up of the hands.”
There’s something to be said for resonance. That instant when your ears start to tingle, the hairs on the back of your arm stand on end, and electricity hangs so heavy in the air that you could reach out and touch it. When those moments happen, it’s like catching lightning in a bottle. That’s Julia Knight.

Celebrating this day encourages a kinder, more compassionate world where animals are no longer seen as commodities.
The new single is a jaw-dropping story of an alien abduction with a surprising twist. The thought-provoking video houses a powerful message and promises to incite discussion amongst its viewers. “The imagery may be disturbing to some, says Braganza, “however, the story symbolizes what goes on every day in the dairy industry. I’m hoping that by changing the victims to human beings, people will think twice when they buy their food.”

The Ramona Flowers, currently wowing audiences on their first US tour in North America with The Heavy, have released a new video for their song ‘Run Like Lola’. Page Kennedy is well known for his acting, having played roles in such iconic shows as Weeds, Rush Hour, Backstrom and Blue Mountain State, to say nothing of his many film roles. The Pack A.D. announce US release of album ‘Positive Thinking’
The Pack A.D. don’t have the time or patience to fuck around. They are two musicians who sound like five and that shit takes WORK. Fists pounding drums, guitars gutted and spent, the East Vancouver band is fierce, defiant, and determined. And with their new release, Positive Thinking, they’ve made their best, most daring record yet.
Positive Thinking is all carefully constructed chaos, crushing vulnerability, and massive swagger. Underneath the sprawl of its sonic infrastructure, singer/guitarist Becky Black and drummer Maya Miller—self described lifelong high school outcasts—traverse the hidden tunnels that connect all us damaged people together: anger, alienation, humour, sarcasm, sincerity, loneliness, grief.

Watch PWR BTTM’s “I Wanna Boi” video
Having recently shared the news of the UK re-release of their essential debut album Ugly Cherries, queer punk duo PWR BTTM have released their music video for “I Wanna Boi.” Filmed in upstate New York, director Anneliese Cooper says of the video: “If I had to elevator-pitch my concept for this video, it would go something like ‘Miss Havisham and Dr. Frank-N-Furter act out that visual gag from Arrested Development where there’s nothing in the cabinets.’ If I had to explain it any more coherently than that, I’d say this video is about expectations – about being lonely in bed as a teenager and making little stageplays behind your eyelids of what love is going to be like, then being sentenced to live in that state of half-imagined wanting. That’s what I’ve always identified with in ‘I Wanna Boi’: an attempt to get out in front of your big, directionless longing with wit and excellent lipstick.”
