Today, multiplatinum recording artist Rita Ora signed a worldwide recording contract with Atlantic Records UK. Having enjoyed several #1 successes with her previous album and a number of smash hit singles around the world, Rita will be returning to the studio and working on new material for release later this year.

THE DEAD SHIPS ALBUM STREAM
The Dead Ships will release their debut full-length LP CITYCIDE in North America on June 24 via Nevado Music. LA-based, world music-influenced alt-metal group BLACKMORE are poised to make waves with their upcoming album NEO, out this July. Washington Square Music and Austin, TX-based rock band My Jerusalem are excited to present the full-album premiere of the band’s brand new studio album, A Little Death. “The little death,” or “la petite mort” in French, refers to, well, an orgasm, and somewhere between the literal definition and the slang is where frontman Jeff Klein situated the album. “Like any kid, I was obsessed with death and obsessed with sex. Some people grow out of it and start families and become normal people and some of us just stay the same,” Klein laughs. “I’m still obsessing about the psychology behind death and sex.” This duality bleeds through on the album, which flexes a lurid sexual energy, reminiscent of something between Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and Echo and the Bunnymen.

Throughout the course of tonight and tomorrow Sigur Rós will be unveiling a 24-hour ‘Slow TV’ event live on Iceland’s National Television – and streaming live globally via YouTube – set to a constantly evolving soundtrack based around elements of new song Óveður.

Nettwerk Records is pleased to announce the signing of Melbourne-based The Outdoor Type, aka singer/songwriter Zack Buchanan.
While the name will still be new to many, The Outdoor Type has been picking up fans worldwide after the release of last year’s debut EP.
