ALLAN RAYMAN NEW SINGLE
There is little known about Allan Rayman, a young, cryptic performer hailing from Lost Springs…
Only that he is slowly but surely turning heads with his sui generis approach to music making. In an age where social media dominates our perception of a musician, Allan shuns the status quo by putting forth just music. His social pages are cryptic and seldom used – solely for the promotion of his music.
Today he unveils his latest song, ‘Verona the Hellcat’. A continuation of his story -initially weaved on his 2015 album Hotel Allan and standalone single ‘Lucy the Tease’- ‘Verona the Hellcat’ unleashes Allan’s gravelly and effortlessly crooned lyricism in full force. This is Allan at his best – bleeding his story over the top a chugging, grated melody and booming drum rack.

L.A. WITCH “DRIVE YOUR CAR”
L.A. WITCH knows how to conjure up the demons in pop. Although the band is only a few years old, one root stretches into the sounds of ‘60s garage musicians like The Pleasure Seekers and Sonics while the other digs around in Dead Moon and The Breeders.
Their music is raw and bloody, echoing of bad decisions through a thick, smoky haze of reverb. Just like their influences, L.A. WITCH preaches the blues; these aren’t happy ballads, but if you submerse yourself in them, you come out feeling a hell of a lot better than before.

ARMS PREMIERES THOUGHTFUL, STUNNING ALBUM OPENER “KEEP IT LIGHT” AT VILLAGE VOICE
“No one cares where you are / There’s nothing that you forgot / and nothing you have to do,” sings ARMS mastermind Todd Goldstein at the ecstatic peak of “Missing,” which sounds like an Electro-Pura outtake on steroids, all squealing guitar, honeyed atmosphere, and Tlacael Esparza’s deliriously aggressive drums. It’s the sound of Goldstein finally letting the songs speak for themselves, of accepting the fact that, in the face of life’s overwhelming shortness, holding anything back is kind of ridiculous. ARMS’ third LP, Patterns, lassoes every last one of ARMS’ sprawling stylistic and emotional tendencies and channels them into a handsome, wild-eyed suite of guitar pop. Patterns is a love letter to letting go—of past lives, of old loves, of best-laid-plans—and it is the long-running Brooklyn-based songwriter’s finest work to date.

A STATEMENT FROM JESSE HUGHES
“I humbly beg forgiveness from the people of France, the staff and security of the Bataclan, my fans, family, friends and anyone else hurt or offended by the absurd accusations I made in my Fox Business Channel interview. My suggestions that anyone affiliated with the Bataclan played a role in the events of November 13 are unfounded and baseless—and I take full responsibility for them. They do not reflect opinions of my bandmates or anyone associated with Eagles of Death Metal. The shame is 100% mine. I’ve been dealing with non-stop nightmares and struggling through therapy to make sense of this tragedy and insanity. I haven’t been myself since November 13. I realize there’s no excuse for my words, but for what it’s worth: I am sincerely sorry for having hurt, disrespected or accused anyone.”

FRIDAY SONG TO HIS MOM
The MuseBox today announced the release of “Changes,” the emotionally stirring single from buzzing Toronto rapper and embattled street veteran Friday AKA Ricky Dred. The touching “Changes” paints a picture of the heartbreak and frustration Friday has endured while watching his mother (who singlehandedly raised Friday) battle Alzheimer’s and miss her son’s personal and musical progress. Friday plans to donate 90% of the proceeds from the sales of “Changes” to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. After almost a year of silence spent working on his therapeutic blog, The Sober Emcee, Friday recently came out of a self-imposed musical retirement. “Changes” is the third single from Friday’s third LP, Nocturnal (AWOL/Urbnet).
VISTA NEW SINGLE
About the single, the band stated, “This was the first song Hope and Wolf ever tried to write together, and it was written specifically to be VISTA’s first single. It directly addresses the transition from Hope’s solo career to becoming a band, and the internal sense of fear that tagged along with the change. We’re all kind of nervous- but it just fuels us. We wrote this with the live show in mind, expanding on elements that we love in some of our favorite songs. From that list of little production influences, we’ve really set out to challenge ourselves and self-define our own genre, anthemic alternative rock; kind of building something new out of something pre-existing, which was Hope’s 10 year solo career.”
