They have just the one track and a month’s worth of internet presence, although ‘On New Years Eve’ has already been described as “one of the finest new tracks of 2013 thus far” by Crack In The Road, This Is Fake DIY agreeing and stating “There hasn’t been a more outstanding debut track so far this year.”
While tandems can and have been drawn to the likes of Wild Beasts and fellow countryfolk When Saints Go Machine, the band take their inspiration from “the drama of The Smiths, the melodic structures of Cocteau Twins, the complexity and dynamics of ‘The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway’ (Genesis), the sexy “dancyness” of Roxy Music and the ominous tenderness of Nina Simone.”
