Beth Hart, whose captivating performance with Jeff Beck at the 2013 Kennedy Center Honors prompted a spontaneous standing ovation from an audience that included President and Mrs. Obama, is about to launch her first U.S. headline tour in more than a decade. The Los Angeles-born singer/songwriter will bring her Janis Joplin-esque pipes to clubs and other intimate venues beginning April 30 at Stubbs Indoors in Austin, TX with plans to tour extensively through to the end of the year. The first to go on sale were Hart’s two New York shows, and both sold out within hours; Hart’s Nashville show also sold out and a second date has been added.
