One may be thinking by the title that this is some sort of drug-induced reference or that this Rob Massard fellow is high as a kite! Quite the contrary as Massard is, in fact, high on life and can hang his head high in the clouds with this new release “So Very High”. In a sense, music is like a drug to Massard because he is addicted to creating quality songs and perfecting his craft. The end result is “So Very High” and it’s safe to say Rob Massard is lighting up the airwaves!
Rob is a talented singer/songwriter from Michigan and his first album release was back in 2017, which was titled ‘Rhythms of Consciousness’. Shortly before this debut release, Rob would receive tragic news that his brother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and would sadly pass away later on. Out of the darkness comes light and even with battling extreme heartache & pain, Rob Massard was able to dig deep to create an influential sound straight from the soul. With elements of folk, pop, progressive rock & folk, new age, a musical innovator was born! Fast forward to the present time and “So Very High” incorporates that innovative spirit to the fullest.
The listener hits play, and the vibe is “So Very High” as Rob Massard supplies stellar guitar strumming and one pleasing melody. Rob gives the audience piercing vocals that cut right through and keep you engaged from start to finish. “So Very High” offers heavy substance both musically & lyrically making for one far-out experience. With striking chords in place, you will have to keep your ears to the sky as you consume “So Very High”. Rob delivers a commanding performance overall that deserves high praise and much applause.
