THE DAVE MATTHEWS PUT OUT AN EP FOR HAITI
The Dave Matthews Band is putting together a new EP titled The Haiti Relief Project. It features five previously unreleased live tracks and is available now for only five-dollars at DMBLive.com. All proceeds from the sale of the EP, as well money from purchases of a limited-edition t-shirt with the album’s cover art on it, will go toward supporting the band’s Bama Works Haiti Relief Fund charity. John Mayer likes to send dirty text messages. At least that’s what he said in an interview with the Independent newspaper. The singer-songwriter said, “I can text whatever I want to anybody in the world, I’m not married. AMY WINEHOUSE WORKING WITH SNOOP?
Amy Winehouse has supposedly been working with many hip-hop artists, including Nas, on the follow-up album to her extremely successful record Back To Black. But who is the latest rapper to have their name thrown into the mix? Well according to British paper The Sun, it’s none other than California MC Snoop Dogg. No word on when we can expect to hear the material.
ROB THOMAS IS NUMBER ONE
Rob Thomas has just hit the number one spot on the Billboard Adult Pop songs chart with the tune “Someday.” It marks the matchbox twenty frontman’s fourth time at the top of the list, and it’s the second song off his current album cradlesong, to go to number on one that chart. The first was “Her Diamonds.” Rob was also number one with Carlos Santana on the song “Smooth” in 1999 and 2000, and with the tune “Lonely No More” off his debut solo record in 2005. Having this song go to the top also helped Thomas surpass P!nk on the Adult Pop chart as the solo artist with the most number ones.
MADONNA AND A-ROD BACK ON?
Is there something going on again between Madonna and New York Yankee star Alex Rodriguez? Possibly, according to UsMagazine.com, which reports that the pair spent a weekend last month together. Paramore are heading out on a headlining tour! PATRICK STUMP WORKING ON SOLO ALBUM
Fall Out Boy singer Patrick Stump has announced that he’s working on a solo album. KANYE GETS COURT CASE THROWN OUT!
Kanye West is off the hook! According to TMZ.com, the rapper had his court case thrown out. The suit stemmed from an incident in which Kanye and his manager smashed the cameras of two paparazzi at LAX in September 2008. A judge ruled in October that if West and his manager Don Crowley agreed to perform 50 hours of community service before returning to court, the case against them would be dismissed. On Friday, West showed proof that both men completed the hours for the Red Cross and the case is no more. Learn more at TMZ.com.

Chris Brown left a voice message on his official fan site to let his fans know more information about his upcoming mixtape. The star revealed the project will include 32 songs written specifically for the ladies. In addition, the singer mentions that his remix to Trey Songz’ “I Invented Sex’ is entitled “Invented Head.” The mixtape will be released on Valentine’s Day.
R KELLY SAYS HELP HAITI
In less than 30 seconds, R Kelly explained why people need to continue to donate to Haitian relief efforts. Kels stated, “If you have a kid, call this number. If you have a mother, call this number. If you have a brother a sister, a father, a dog, it doesn’t matter, then you know what love is. Help these people in Haiti and text this number.” He urged people to text the word “Yele” to 501501 and donate five dollars now.

LUDACRIS TOURS WITH BEP

According to ETOnline.com, Beyonce Knowles will appear as a spokesperson for VIZIO TVs in a new Super Bowl commercial. KELIS PREMIERES NEW SONG

TYRESE LEAVES THE SCENE OF CAR ACCIDENT
TMZ reports Tyrese could potentially face felony charges for leaving the scene of an accident. On January 4th, the singer-turner-actor was involved in a car crash with Sheena McCleary in Miami. Both gave their respective information to authorities and left together in a taxi. Now for some reason, Miami police have issued traffic citations for “leaving the scene on public or private property — injury.” Tyrese’s lawyers have entered a not guilty plea and hope Miami authorities will not pursue the case any further — especially when there are pictures on the Internet of Ty exchanging words with policemen at the scene.
AEROSMITH CONSIDERED BILLY IDOL AS SINGER
Last week, we reported that Aerosmith had reached out to Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers to front the group while Steven Tyler recovers from his recent ailments, however, it turns out that Paul isn’t the only one who’s been considered. Classic Rock Magazine says at a recent gig, guitarist Joe Perry was planning to speak to Billy Idol about filling in for Tyler. However, Billy got sick and didn’t make it out to see The Joe Perry Project perform. There’s been no word if Perry contacted him another way and if so, what Idol had to say.
