Orla Gartland collaborator Greta Isaac shares achingly beautiful track ‘Polyfilla’
“This song was pretty cathartic for me to write. I was going through a time in my life where I found myself surrounded by friends, family members, fleeting encounters that all seemed to be working through difficulties within themselves that stemmed from hereditary trauma and pain.” says Greta Isaac about her newest offering “Polyfilla”. Contrasting her last single “5’1”, a scuzzy guitar track, “Polyfilla” is a gut-wrenching ballad delivered over a reduced piano instrumental.
We’re just a few weeks away from the release of Pass Away’s sophomore album, Thirty Nine, and the band has one more single up their sleeves. In the thick of the pandemic, guitarist and vocalist Mike Ireland was living by a cemetery in an eerily quiet New Orleans. “Moss Bar” is about that period of time and how it was spent drinking on the front porch of his home. While it might have been quiet in the streets, this song is anything but that. “Moss Bar” is streaming exclusively at NoEcho.net and will be available on all digital platforms on Friday, November 12th. Thirty Nine will be released on Friday, November 26th and vinyl preorders are available now from Suburbia Records.

ELEANOR K SHARES THE NEW VIDEO FOR ‘CRY IN GIVENCHY’ THE DIRECTORIAL DEBUT FROM ACTOR JACK FOX
Given that the song hones in on the ultra specific discomfort of feeling at your lowest while looking your best, it’s apt that the duo focused on visual aesthetic rich with bougie, dazzling elegance. The video feels like a subtle sequel to the song’s original narrative. Adorned in designs from House of SheldonHall and – you guessed it – Givenchy, Eleanor K has the chic sophisticatation of a classic femme fatale. Whereas the lyrics are about heartbreak, the video instead shows the power of simply demonstrating: look what you’re missing out on.

Bay area indie pop trio Artsick announces debut LP for Slumberland, shares “Despise” video
Artsick was formed in June 2018 when Christina Riley was feeling “artsick” and writing songs, but missing the inspiration and excitement of collaborating with her old band, Burnt Palms. Christina played Mario Hernandez (Kids On A Crime Spree, Ciao Bella) a couple of demos and recognizing that “artsick” feeling, Mario offered to play drums and record some songs at his fully-analog Oakland recording studio. Christina’s bass idol, Donna McKean (Lunchbox, Hard Left), who loved the songs and jumped at the chance to help her friends with their “artsickness” and a band was born. The results were a terrific 2018 7″ single, which led to some epic pre-COVID shows and a whole batch of new songs.
Canadian Indie Pop Artist Jasmyn Signs To ANTI-, Shares Video For New Song “Find The Light”
“This song was loosely written during the Fall of 2020,” Burke explains. “The world was feeling pretty heavy, and I felt myself wanting to write music that created a mood of happiness and space to grow. It feels like we’re living in this sort of in-between space, where life is altering. I wanted to explore finding comfort and hopefulness through uncomfortable change. I feel like I have grown and changed as a person over the last few years and wanted to write songs that created a sense of confidence and well-being.”

Soak up July Talk’s new song, “I Am Water,” out now
July Talk go aquatic with new single “I Am Water,” in which the band grapples with our human nothingness as a counterbalance to capital D Dread. Like all true Scorpios, “I Am Water” is ruled by a vast force of emotion, just as the tide is controlled by the moon. Powered by alarm and elation, the new song celebrates moving our bodies. “But we coincide,” Leah and Peter sing; we are here, now, together. When we face the cosmic improbability of it all, we can dance.

KATE BOLLINGER SIGNS TO GHOSTLY INTERNATIONAL
“Yards / Gardens” finds Bollinger in full swing, skipping verses of uncertainty above a bright and nimble bassline and kick. Guitarist Chris Lewis weaves throughout, his riffs unravel across the bridge, trailing her lines like ellipses. Written with Trainum and Lewis, “Yards / Gardens” reflects “feeling resistant to change, during a time when it felt like everything was changing,” says Bollinger. Growing up has become a motif in her work, but she’s never sidestepped the concept in quite this way. Here, self-assured and surrounded by vivid production, she leans back in the grass, letting expectations breeze by, reminding herself she’ll tend to things in good time.

Shilpa Ray Goes Proto-Industrial On Scathing New Track “Bootlickers Of The Patriarchy”
Today, New York City’s Shilpa Ray shared “Bootlickers of the Patriarchy,” a scathing new track written about Senator Susan Collins and her infamous press conference after the Kavanaugh/Blasey Ford hearings. “It’s about women who succeed from undermining the success of other women or choose to gain success from exploiting the oppression of other women,” says Ray. “This is a character who has taken many forms throughout history, the kind of woman who seems perfectly content playing Gamma to the Alpha male. ‘Bootlicker’ is my direct challenge to the notion of ‘women supporting other women,’ as well as the falsehoods and unrealistic expectations that come with a statement like that.”
