Everclear is prepping a new album of sorts. It’s called In A Different Light and it’s a collection of newly interpreted recordings of their greatest hits like “Santa Monica,” “I Will Buy You A New Life,” “Father of Mine” and “Rock Star.” The album commemorates the band’s new deal with 429 Records and features frontman Art Alexakis reimagining the hits as well as singing two new songs, “Here Comes the Darkness” and “At the End of the Day.” The album will be released on October 6th and the band will launch a fall tour that same month. Everclear is also planning a new album which should be out in 2010.
