Wes Patrick – Weak Link
Weak Link is Wes’ modernized take on his childhood obsession with Pop-Punk. To put it simply, it is about loving someone that doesn’t love you back. It was written and produced by Wes Patrick. The music video was also directed and edited by Wes.
Wes Patrick is an Asian-American singer/songwriter from Orange County, California. His genre-bending style between alternative rock and hip-hop is refreshing to the ear. Wes was raised in a traditional Asian household, so a career in music was viewed as dishonorable. To keep his family from finding out, Wes has recorded a majority of his discography from the backseat of his Toyota 4Runner. His music is happy, unapologetic, and full of emotion.

The Happy Fits Release Video For “Two Of Many”
“For ‘Two of Many’ we wanted to do something a little different,” Calvin Langman said regarding the creation of their new video. “It’s a fun song and after we had our stop motion music video for our song ‘Moving,’ we thought it would be really cool to do an animated video. We went to our dear friend Alexis and gave her an idea of what we were looking for but to also be creative with it! She took it to a whole new level and we can’t wait for everyone to see it!”

The night the world shutdown in 2020 Don’t Believe In Ghosts was set to headline Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory. Guided By Voices Inc. Announces Cub Scout Bowling Pins Debut LP
Cub Scout Bowling Pins hop in the “Magic Taxi”, turn on the AM radio and time travel 40-45 years back in time. The project is mysteriously presented, but it’s a thinly-veiled alias of the ridiculously prolific and talented Guided By Voices.
Minus the usual punk & prog influences, there are strong whiffs of bubble gum, psych and soft rock with sugary doses of ornate baroque pop. Long renowned scholars of rock, the Ohio players have occasionally worn their influences on their sleeves, but this time they seemingly have their jackets on inside out.

“‘The Way I Feel’ is probably the most personal song for me on the album,” shares vocalist Andy Chaves. “I was going through a shitty breakup and remember not wanting to be in the studio at all that day. The keys that come in the beginning just make you feel good. I remember driving home after that session and I was in the one of the best moods I had been in for a while. I’m hoping this track makes anyone going through the same shit feel the same way I did on that drive home.”

Michael Mayo Releases Music Video for “20/20”
Each of the songs on Bones represents a learning experience for Mayo, the building blocks (“Bones”) that made him the person he is today. Part of the process of making Bones involved Mayo publicly owning his own bisexuality. In many ways, the collection serves as a letter to himself after years of lying to others about who he truly was and felt. Bones affirms you can live authentically, and not be afraid to express it. Having no black bisexual role models growing up, Michael hopes he can be that person for someone now and that one day we won’t have to “come out” but coexist with our differences. There are several notable dualities in Bones: the juxtaposition of a cappella vocals and electronic effects, the “You and You” of bisexuality, the interplay of words and sounds, the tug between R&B, neo-soul and jazz, the spontaneity of improvisation set against the dictates of classical structure.

The Sea Gypsies return to the spotlight after a 2 year hiatus releasing their new single ‘Daydream’ today. Their new offering will show a side The Sea Gypsies fans are yet to see, all the while honouring their musical roots.
Speaking to the inspiration behind ‘Daydream’, the band says, “Daydream is a love song, without being an ‘in-your-face’ love song. On the surface, the lyrics are indicative of our vocalist’s (Luke Marlin) relationship experiences, however, the music leaves the listener feeling as though this song is built upon layers of relational failures and triumphs.”
Dot Allison new Single “Long Exposure” Out
After time out to raise a family, Dot Allison returns with Heart-Shaped Scars, her most realised and illuminating album to date, available from July 30th on SA Recordings.
Lead single “Long Exposure”, out today, is indicative of the album’s fragile beauty and is, says Allison, “One of the first songs I wrote on ukulele. Last March I picked up the instrument and started composing, the fact I don’t play the ukulele was very freeing and I had to compose purely by ear, constructing my own chord clusters.”

Frontman Jonathan Vanderbilt on ‘Alliteratio’:
“Alliteratio is a song written in Italian, thinking about the Sanremo Italian Song Festival! Melodic Death Metal Band RIVAL ORDER Reveals “Next In Line” Lyric Video
“‘Next In Line’ was largely inspired by my own struggles as an artist,” says guitarist Joey Rival. “We face so many obstacles by not only our own design, be it self-doubt or fear of failure, but sometimes from our loved ones who may be unable to see the end result. I have always found music to be my safe space and the one and only way I can truly express myself. My hope is that through my art I can inspire others to continue to pursue their passions.”
