For the campaign, Coi Leray modeled the new collection and linked up with singer Destiny Rogers for a special SKIMS TikTok to Destiny’s song, “Tomboy” featuring Coi. It was reposted on Instagram stories and praised by Kim Kardashian West.
ZHU SHARES NEW SONG AND VIDEO, “YOURS” FEAT. ARCTIC LAKE
Just days before the release of his new album, DREAMLAND 2021, ZHU unveils the richly cinematic track “Yours” feat. Arctic Lake. ZHU’s pensive keyboards shift to a simmering rhythm as he and UK alt-pop artist Arctic Lake – who recently joined him on the Astralwerks roster – trade vocals, evoking the uneasy tension between love in the moment and the aching for love everlasting. Mitch Bell (THEY., Tame Impala), who served as guitarist/musical director for ZHU’s 2016 NEON CITY tour, adds searing guitar. The three artists wrote the track together.
Royal Canoe Announce New LP
Today, Royal Canoe announces their upcoming LP Sidelining, out July 9th on Paper Bag Records. The lead single, “Butterfalls,” is out today. Evil is one to keep an eye on and today shares the first of many new releases in 2021- “Broken Wing” co-produced by Bill Reynolds (Band of Horses), out now on slashie / Mom + Pop. Born in rural Virginia, their music synthesizes the pain of constantly having to process tragedy and trauma as a queer Black artist. Equally influenced by Dolly Parton and Ozzy Ozbourne, Evil’s art confronts authority, specifically often challenging Christianity, and re-imagines what inclusive country music can sound like in 2021.
