Borders? They’re not existing for Immigration Unit. If you ask them about their origin, they’ll first tell you Pangea, which used to be the original continent.
In their homebase in Basel, however, they are – in normal times – rarely to be found. Instead, Immigration Unit prefer to tour Europe, sometimes with a side trip to Japan, like a few years ago, while playing support shows for the likes of Archive (UK), Birdpen (UK) or Evelinn Trouble (CH).

The backdrop for his new album, Black Jackal, is an apocalyptic world and its aftermath. Drawing from Egyptian mythology, Jacks takes on a futuristic persona with Black Jackal to explore the transition to the afterlife. FARER: Dutch doom/noise trio releases their debut album “Monad”
FARER create an imposing discord of severe, caustic bass textures, harrowing vocals and winding drums. The band, featuring members of Ortega, was originally founded as MENHIR in 2013, but chose FARER as their new moniker mid 2019, after spending two and a half years of writing and recording their debut record “Monad”. By taking time to further explore the possibilities of being a band with two bass players and the absence of a guitar, the record exhibits the bands evolution into a new entity thoroughly. DVDDY, an EDM and post-hardcore artist with a stunning dad bod, has teamed up with Aaron Gillespie for his new single “Goodbye.” In addition to providing guest vocals, Gillespie also co-wrote and drummed on the track.

Anna McClellan began performing original songs in her hometown of Omaha, NE at the age of seventeen and has been actively recording and touring ever since. Her debut, Fire Flames, earned her an opening slot on a Frankie Cosmos tour. Through the doors that tour opened, McClellan eventually met Father/Daughter Records which led to the release of her second full-length record, Yes and No, in 2018. After a stint in NYC, several subsequent tours and meandering, Anna returned to Omaha and recorded I saw first light, her latest effort for Father/Daughter.

She was outta town for work, and I was flying out from Portland to NJ to record, departing just hours before she would return home. Neither of us had done anything wrong but it was, simply, another near miss. The emotions of that missed opportunity inspired the song, making a declaration to do better. This in itself is rather strange because I rarely write about conventional relationships and love, but why not own your shit to a dope track?”

Breaking down the line a little more, when I found music and songwriting it was a breathless feeling; I was completely immersed in the idea of writing stories and sharing them through song, it was as though I found a new God.
This lifestyle I began to pursue was not conducive to the relationship I was in at the time, which unhinged a string of problems. The lyrics are contradicting throughout the whole piece. “What You Don’t Know” is that I’ll do anything to stay in this relationship, although I recognize it’s bad for me.
