One of the best innovations of the modern era is the innovation of wireless charging technology for our devices. This new feature allows users to charge their devices without the hassle of cables and wires that not only create clutter but also make handling them a huge hassle.
Owing to our increasingly happening lifestyle, a portable charger is one of life’s greatest ease–giving inventions. For people who travel a lot, use public transport, or go to places where the voltage is not the same, a wireless charger can work wonders. It is more convenient than a power bank because there are no wires involved, it charges at a much faster speed, and unlike a power bank, it does not have a battery inside it but a coil, which means that it is super safe to carry on the plane as well!
Although this technology is very convenient, it is only available to the users who happen to have the latest smartphone or tablet with the latest Android system.
Do not get upset just as yet. If you do not have the latest Android device, you can still charge your phone without using any wires or cables.
So, Here are the steps that you need to follow to charge your old Android device wirelessly:
Step 1. Buy a Qi Receiver
The first step to charge your device wirelessly is to buy a Qi receiver which is a phone accessory that allows your phone or tablet to receive induction signals from a charger that is wireless as these signals are what charges the battery of your device. The new range of smartphones does not need this gadget as they can receive the magnetic signals well without the Qi receiver acting as a bridge. The Qi receiver can cost as low as a dollar.
Step 2. Buy a Compatible Wireless Charger
Secondly, you need to buy a wireless charger that is compatible with your device and is capable of sending induction signals to the Qi receiver to charge the battery of the device without the involvement of wires and cables. You can also purchase one over Spectrum internet as it enables fast and safe internet connectivity. Not all wireless chargers work with multiple android phone models so make sure that you test it out before the purchase.
Step 3. Attach the Qi Receiver
The third step involves plugging in the Qi receiver into the USB port (micro) of your device so that your phone can be charged wirelessly.
Step 4. Connect the Wireless Charger
After attaching the Qi receiver, you need to connect the power cable to the charging pad and the other end of the cable should be plugged into a power switch to receive an electric power supply. And that is it. You are now ready to wirelessly charge your device!
Step 5. Put Your Android Device on the Charging Pad
When you are done with all the previous steps successfully, you need to place your device on the charging pad so that it can start charging your phone or tablet wirelessly. Once it is placed on the charging pad, your Android device will notify you that it is charging. Some wireless chargers support fast charging so you might want to invest in those.
Step 6. Let it Charge to 100%
Last, but certainly not the least, you should give it sometime before you unplug the power cable from the electrical switch so that your Android device can finish charging and is ready to be used. The wireless charger can take as long as it would take with a normal charger.
If you are thinking about following the process and still cannot make the decision, let us narrow down the advantages and disadvantages of wireless charging. The pros include more durability, safer connections (no electrical faults), universal compatibility for most phones, and fewer cords. The cons of wireless charging are less but existent. You cannot use your phone whilst it is being wirelessly charged because to use it, you will have to pick it up and it will then stop charging. Moreover, you will have to place it back rather carefully to make sure that it is charging again. Other than this, some wireless chargers are known to charge slower than the wired charger of the phone. However, if you invest in a reliable branded charger, you will get better results.
With that being said, I am off to wirelessly charge my phone and live a hassle–free life!
