Jen Janet Releases New Single “Possession”
Released with a corresponding music video, “Possession” shows a return to her natural goth-rock roots. Self-described as a ‘multimedia musical project,’ Jen Janet has long-term industry experience as both a solo artist and front woman, as well as in fashion, makeup, photography, and videography. Built upon darker imagery, her new music highlights a noticeable shift in genres – her last solo EP, released in 2017, was a focused pop record. “Possession” is an eerie, heavy, and ethereal track all wrapped up in one – perfectly representative of Jen’s multi-faceted artistry.
Mexico City’s Mint Field announces Sentimento Mundial – Out September 25th on Felte Records
Mint Field was originally formed in Tijuana by frontwoman Estrella del Sol Sánchez and ex-member Amor Amezcua in 2015. The band is now led by vocalist and guitarist Estrella del Sol with Sebastian Neyra on bass and Callum Brown on drums. The band creates a unique blend of avant psych shoegaze that explores the nostalgia and melancholy of daily life with complex rhythms, loud, shimmering guitars, and softly sighing vocals. Emerging from the two most exciting destinations for art and music in Mexico, the atmospheric shoegaze proggers originally formed in Tijuana before relocating to Mexico City where they are now based.

KICCC is releasing his new music video to accompany his latest single, “Wine.” In this cinematic experience, the storyline follows the cycle of reincarnation as it starts with KICCC (literally) rising from the ashes. The video exhibits various forms of water symbolism that foreshadows the theme for his upcoming album, The Water Knows, dropping August 26th, 2020.
‘It’ll All Be Fine’ tackles the notion of peace that comes with healing and is the second offering from the EP ‘Save Me From Myself Part 2’ –due out later this year and described by Max as “an inner dialogue that tackles grief, loss, uncertainty, waiting for change and trying to move forward.”

A versatile rhymer who switches up his flow for every song, Atlanta’s Yung Mal is one of his city’s most promising risers. Today, Mal shares “What’s Poppin’,” a carefree, flex-heavy video single. Skating atop a minimalist trap instrumental, populated by faint flutes and ringing guitar chords, Mal warns the haters and sleepers that he’s up next: “N**** just started, the sh*t I been done/Stay down, look at a storm a-comin’.” In the video, directed by Mal himself, the 24-year-old artist shows off his bands, his whip, and his jewel-studded watch as he mobs in the ATL with a crew of homies. “What’s Poppin'” is Mal’s first video since “How It Feel,” his May collaboration with frequent duo partner Lil Quill.

“I was on tour in Japan a few years ago and went to a couple music stores in the city of Kyoto, and found an Mbira in one of them, which is an African instrument — ‘Afria’ is sort of built on the ostinato I played on the Mbira,” Crumbly told Ones to Watch. “When it came time to naming the song, I thought about how ironic it was finding an African instrument in Asia and it clicked to name it ‘Afria,’ which is also a homage to my mixed heritage of African-American and Indian.”
