Further cementing their position in the scene, Afrobeats twin duo El’Vee mark their first release of 2020 with new single ‘Money’, out now.
Produced by Tiwezi, ‘Money’ is a high-energy, modern Afrobeats track that combines traditional African rhythms with electronic elements, topped with the pair’s confident vocals. Following last year’s sensual single ‘My Butter’, the track marks the first of three singles planned for release across 2020, with the new music set to reflect the energetic and dynamic character of the El’Vee twins. Shot in Lagos and directed by British-born Nigerian Mr A, the official video for ‘Money’ delivers an honest depiction of the city and the inequalities that it harbours.
“Two imminent problems we must eradicate from the world today are POVERTY and RACISM because their very existence propagates an INJUSTICE that is damaging to the ESSENCE of our HUMANITY”, El’Vee explain.
