This track allows us to feel another perspective of the musical projection of Black Note Graffiti. The proposal diversifies their art with new musical elaborations from progressive rock. These elements are added to the sounds of melodic hard rock and pop rock that they used in their previous single “Fallacy”.
The structural minimalism typical of the Punk genre is persistent in “Inch by Inch”. Also, it is possible to recognize some similar rhythmic-harmonic combinations from Funk music. The single balances the sound force of death metal with the delicacy typical of classic rock.
The evolution of the compositional resources of these musicians is one of the most interesting things that we are able to appreciate throughout this new album so far. “Inch by Inch” shows the band’s ability to surprise the audience with attractive and varied rock sounds. In turn, it is fascinating how they integrate thematic elements of the album’s first single, “Fallacy”, which could be an essential dramaturgical aspect for this proposal.
Definitely, the members of this group -Gabrielle Bryant (vocalist), Ricardo Ortiz (guitars / screamo vocals), Kurt Keller (drums), Kris Keller (guitar), and Adam Nine (bass) – continue to demonstrate their high musical competence with this new production.

[Español] – La banda de rock Black Note Graffiti continua presentando su tercer album Volumen 3 Fall/Rise durante estos tiempos de confinamiento. Esta vez nos ofrece la posibilidad de disfrutar de su segundo sencillo “Inch by Inch”.Este track nos permite distinguir otra perspectiva de la consolidada proyección musical de Black Note Graffiti. La banda diversifica su propuesta con novedosas elaboraciones musicales provenientes del rock progresivo. Estos elementos se suman a los sonidos del hard rock melodic y del pop rock que
habían utilizado en su anterior sencillo “Fallacy”.
Además, se persive el empleo reiterado de un minimalismo estructural propio del género Punk. También es posible reconocer algunas combinaciones rítmico-armónicas semejantes con el género Funk. Este track equilibra perfectamente la fuerza sonora del death metal con la delicadeza típica del rock clásico.
Es interesante apreciar como evolucionan las nuevos recursos composicionales de estos músicos. “Inch by Inch” evidencia la capacidad que tiene la banda de sorprender a la audiencia con atractivas y variadas sonoridades rockeras. A su vez, resulta fasicinante como integran elementos temáticos del primer sencillo del album, “Fallacy”, lo cual pudiera ser un aspecto dramatúrgico esencial para esta propuesta.
Definitivamente, los integrantes de esta agrupación Gabrielle Bryant (vocalist), Ricardo Ortiz (guitars/screamo vocals), Kurt Keller (drums), Kris Keller (guitar), and Adam Nine (bass), siguen demostrando su alta competencia musical con esta nueva produción. Al parecer, estos jóvenes pudieran superar las expectativas de sus seguidores sobre este reciente album.
