Them Evils tell tales from the road with new “Where Ya Gonna Crash Tonight?”
After 2 years of touring their previous release “Rollin’ Stoned and Livin’ Free”, Them Evils are kicking things up a notch with tales from the road with new single “Where Ya Gonna Crash Tonight?”, to be released on Friday, 5/29. The song shows the band exploring new territories and maturing in their writing, while maintaining the signature sound of “Classic Rock, Modern Roll” that captured the attention of fans around the world.
“Where Ya Gonna Crash Tonight?” is their most upbeat track to date featuring heavy guitar tones, pounding drum sounds, and catchy vocal melodies that stand alone from the band’s previous work. Part of this is due to their recent collaborations with Kevin “Thrasher” Gruft (Escape The Fate) Aaron Edwards (Sick Puppies, Black Veil Brides) and producer Jim Kaufman (Danny Worsnop, The Black Moods, Night Riots).

Connecting with fellow Dirty South heavy-hitter YFN Lucci, Jackboy shares “Critical Condition,” his new video. Produced by ForeignGotEm & Prezzley P., “Critical Condition” is a guitar-driven, minor-key trap anthem, as both rappers take turns coming up with new ways to scare the opps: “Hella smoke we gon’ smoke his ass like he medical/Vegetable we gon’ turn that boy into a vegetable/Surgical big Glock ooh I’m getting surgicial/Marching with my soldiers turn this b*tch into a musical,” chants Jackboy. In the video, directed by DrewFilmedIt and released over the weekend (471k views), Jack and Lucci connect in South Florida studio, as they smoke up in the studio and set off on a shopping spree.
“”Long Way Home” is a re-work of a song I wrote titled “Sleeping Pill” during a period of depression caused by separation from my family.
The guilt affected me, and I turned to sleeping pills. I would have vivid dreams about my mom chiding me for being away for so long, and of members of my family disowning me. It even got so bad to where I’d dream about my brothers and sisters dying in horrible car accidents before I could tell them how much they meant to me.”

Unwed Sailor’s previous album, Heavy Age (2019), emerged from a dark period in project leader Johnathon Ford’s life. But as its title suggests, the upcoming Look Alive comes from a place of strength and inspiration. Its seven songs are about emerging from hardship, not unscathed, but rather, with newfound conviction in who you are. The music pre-dated the events of March 2020 as well, but certainly resonate differently because of them. Look Alive will be released June 12th by Old Bear Records via Light In the Attic distro.
