Earlier this year, chart-topping singer-songwriter Eileen Carey premiered her striking music video for single “Finally”; the whimsical video finds two characters on a harrowing journey towards love. The stop motion animated music video was a collaborative effort between Carey and her longtime producer-director Taner Tumkaya. With no signs of slowing down, the captivating music video has now surpassed over 100,000 views on the online video-sharing platform YouTube.

Phil Stiles Signs With Epictronic and Announces Debut EP “The Anchorite”
The Anchorite is the debut solo EP from Final Coil frontman Phil Stiles. Whilst the socio-political lyrical themes of Final Coil remain; the music diverges, drawing from a range of electronic influences to create a darkly ambient soundtrack for Phil’s tales of social decay. Eerie dissonance abounds, especially on the atmospheric Intro, which combines stately guitar with the cold, inhuman hum of subterranean machinery. Elsewhere, the rhythmic pulse of mangled samplers recalls the claustrophobic nightmare of Massive Attack, whilst the muscular guitars of Antipathy brings to mind the industrial nightmare of early Godflesh.

Gus Harvey kicks off 2020 with new single ‘Albion’
British singer, songwriter and producer Gus Harvey has unveiled new single ‘Albion’, out 17th May.
Inspired by a historic pub of the same name that was once frequented by the Kray twins, ‘Albion’ is a wistful ballad that pairs Harvey’s effortless vocals with sparse, jangling instrumentation. The track is also accompanied by an official video, directed and shot by Netti Hurley and Lee Colleen, that explores the mysticism attached to the notorious watering hole.
MIEKO SHIMIZU releases Mike Lindsay remix of ‘Butterfly’
This is one of Mieko’s most beautiful tracks in both musical arrangements and poetic lyrical verses. Mieko wrote Butterfly just after her mother’s passing, although the lyrics are not directly descriptive about her mother. They are more utopian about the image of a life leaving a body and transforming into some form of energy. Combining the ideology of the story when people die, they turn into a butterfly which comes and says goodbye before they leave this world. Such as the closing lyrics: “Butterfly on a spiders web searching for the light, the light shining back”
