SAMUEL PROFFITT Announces Shades EP; Shares “Surry”
Artist and producer Samuel Proffitt is excited to announce his upcoming EP Shades will be released via Nettwerk on July 24th. Samuel, who is also working towards his PhD at Brown University, takes inspiration from personal writings, poetry, and his interest in philosophy. Shades revolves around exploration of a particular psychological locus that manifests itself following moments of extreme anguish and trauma, a re-breaking. He is inspired by the concept of shade from Greek and Roman mythology, which is when a spirit or ghost must pay a debt to pass into the underworld or be forced to wander for eternity.

Today, Los Angeles rapper Shakewell debuts his breezy new cut and head-spinning visual “Late Night,” the lead single from his forthcoming album Long Haired Dragon releasing via G59 Records / Caroline. Produced by Dretta, Shakewell doesn’t take any chances as he raps about his after-hours hustle over the melodic beat. “I wrote the song as kind of a commentary on my own experience being both an addict and an artist at the same time. On the one hand, I’ve had this ability to make music that reaches millions of people and has created all sorts of success in many areas in my life but on the other hand there’s always that urge to clean up my act for the sake of my brain and long-term health,” explains Shakewell.

Shatter Brain: Premiere New Video Death Goes On
Pitchfork Justice was recorded and mixed by Jimmy Balderston at Ghostnote Recording Studios (Scott Kelly, Sumeru, Space Bong) in Adelaide, and mastered by Dav Byrne at Iridium Audio (Witchskull, YLVA, Space Bong). All artwork and layouts were done by Adelaide local Steve Lehmann. Pitchfork Justice contains nine cohesive songs that are a unique blend of sludge metal, old-school thrash, and hardcore, with modern and diverse vocals. The production is lively and bombastic, as well as punchy and aggressive, and the lyrics make a strong statement about the current state of the world, particularly around social media and PC culture.

Zach Bellas – ‘No One Cares About What We’ve Done’ Video
Zach Bellas is an American musician, singer-songwriter, producer, and founder of the independent recording label SMB Records. He is most well known for fronting the band Groundscore (2008 -2012), his work as lead guitar player for The Pasadena Band (2015 – 2017), and has worked more recently under his own name as the leader of the three piece rock band Zach Bellas (2012 – Present). He currently fronts Zach Bellas and produces records for his independent label SMB Records. He is a sponsored artist by PRS Guitars and 1710 Percussion. Since beginning his professional music career in 2008, Bellas has performed over 1,000 shows all across the USA and internationally, including touring in support of great bands such as Clutch, Corrosion of Conformity, and Flogging Molly. He has also produced and released five full length albums, an EP and several singles through his label, including some key collaborations with Hall of Famer Junior Marvin from Bob Marley and The Wailers, Jean-Paul Gaster from Clutch and legendary producer Don Zientara.
