Written, arranged and recorded by Barry at her self-built home on Nova Scotia’s South Shore, Holiday – recorded in 20-minute pockets around her newborn daughter’s sleep routine – arrives as the first full body of work since Barry’s 2012 debut, Young Men, an album that scored substantial momentum for Barry, picking up support across national CBC Radio, Hypemachine blogs and press in the US. The debut album found Barry perform across Europe and North America, touring in support of Ron Sexsmith, Jenn Grant, and Rose Cousins before having her career halted by emergency vocal surgery in 2015.
