Blossoms Release Official Music Video For ‘The Keeper’
Blossoms return today with the self-directed video for their latest single, “The Keeper,” which debuted last week as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in The World on BBC Radio 1. The video, which serves as a love letter with New York City as the backdrop, was shot on location in the Big Apple on Super 8 film, giving it a hazy, nostalgic feel as the band takes in some of the city’s most iconic sights and sounds, including the Washington Square Arch, the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty and more.

NERO DI MARTE comment: “The sounds and themes of ‘L’Arca’ can in some ways be seen as a continuation of our previous album ‘Derivae,’ while delivering many new musical and vocal ideas we’ve never explored before. We can hear, in retrospect, how much we were influenced by sci-fi atmospheres for certain parts of the song. A nebulous, percussive intro builds into a spiraling crescendo of tension which ultimately ends in a dramatic climax: the Ark, along with everything we treasure, is finally free to wander off in space and time.”
K.C. Clifford to Release Her “Unbecoming”
It’s been eight years and two kids since K.C. Clifford has made a record. A lot has changed in that time period, but the biggest change remains within herself. Clifford’s upcoming self-titled seventh album, set for release on February 7, is her unbecoming. She’s letting go of the things that no longer serve her, both within herself and outside of herself, too. The first single, “Salt,” is about empathy; looking past the differences we have with the ones we love, and accepting them for who they are. It premieres today and releases on Friday, with American Songwriter calling it “a potent message of compassion.”
“The inspiration for my new track, “Run With You,” came from reflecting on one of my musical heroes who I’d opened for during my time as a member of Hey Rosetta! This song is an homage to her, expressing my appreciation for all the music she has written.”
