On the heels of his upcoming new EP, Cover Your Tracks (released September 13, 2019 via New West Records), Corb Lund’s tour hits nineteen cities in nine states, starting with Sioux Falls, S.D. on November 5th and kicking up dust all the way down to Tomball, Tex. on November 26th. Lund, an authentic cowboy songwriter, is hitting areas of the American heartland that are home to some of his most supportive audiences. He and his band, the Hurtin’ Albertans, will be bringing their high-energy brand of “Agricultural Tragic” country and western with them, which blends Lund’s stories with shades of Western swing, rockabilly, honky-tonk, talking blues and outlaw country.

This was the song that challenged and motivated us to write a different record than we had ever done previously and made us comfortable with trying different sounds and styles in PR. Lyrically we wanted to state our disdain for how this country glorifies violence and murder of innocent people because it’s good for ratings. The world is soft and sick.”

Ted Z and The Wranglers, of Southern California, deliver outlaw country-charged rock. Ted’s catchy story-songs are fully-realized tales of love, regret, getting older and getting in trouble. The band stirs up it’s Americana influences, featuring quick picking and bluesy slide guitar over galloping train beats and swinging shuffles.
Frontman Erick Newbill says, “We chose “Capsize” as the title track because it brings together quite a few themes we find running through the album. In the face of adversity will we sink, or are life’s setbacks just temporary things we’ll find a way to overcome?”
He adds, “The experience of filming the video alongside my son was one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had both as a musician and a parent. It’s so great when different elements of life we care deeply about intersect and become something beautiful.”

The song parallels that with the paranoia of the end of the world, and our obsession with the apocalypse.” Of the video Jay Bartlett adds: “This track was cagey, paranoid and a real trip through a dream. I wanted to mess with expectations/reality and make an over the top tripped out horror. This was a fun one, I let most of the edit do the heavy lifting and made sure the mad shit kept ramping up.”

Caveman rhythms, quick twists and turns, and really no standard structure. Some of lyrics I can’t even remember. They could just be gibberish. Its named after a friend that is absurd and unfiltered, so that was the inspiration. It’s a fun exercise to give in to the meaningless.”
