Country singer-songwriter Rebekah Snyder is bringing the heart of small-town America to country radio with her new single, “Small Town,” available worldwide on June 19. The uplifting anthem is already gaining momentum at radio, climbing to #97 on the MusicRow CountryBreakout Chart last week and set to debut on Mediabase this week. Promoted to radio by Joe Kelly of CDX Records and distributed worldwide through CDX Records and Sony Orchard, “Small Town” is an energetic, feel-good country song built around the memorable refrain, “I recommend a small town.” Through its upbeat melody and relatable storytelling, the song celebrates the values, connections, and sense of belonging that make hometown life so meaningful.
The song’s inspiration comes directly from Snyder’s own life. Raised in a small town in Western Pennsylvania, she later moved away before eventually returning home to raise her three children. As a single mother, she found strength and support in the same close-knit community that had shaped her growing up. “I unexpectedly found myself a single mom raising three young children, and being able to bring them home to the small town where I grew up meant everything to me,” says Snyder. “This song is about the people, values, and community that helped me raise my children. I don’t know how I could have done it anywhere else.” That deeply
personal experience is reflected in lyrics such as, “I recommend raising kids in a small town… Open arms stay waiting for them in their small town,” capturing the song’s message of home, resilience, and community.
Written during late summer evenings in Pennsylvania, “Small Town” was brought to life in Nashville’s Beard Music Studios with producer Dean Miller, whose credits include recordings with Chris Stapleton, Kacey Musgraves, Dolly Parton, Alison Krauss, Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, and Kris Kristofferson. Featuring top Nashville musicians, including acclaimed bassist Eli Beaird and a standout guitar solo from James Mitchell, the track blends modern country production with classic heartland storytelling.
“Working with Rebekah has been an adventure,” says Miller. “She is a prolific songwriter who works hard at her craft. ‘Small Town’ is a perfect, upbeat summer song full of great energy and classic images that cut right to the heart of any fan of classic heartland country music.”
“Small Town” is the second radio single from Snyder’s forthcoming album, Ready to Ride!, following her duet with Adam Cunningham, “Don’t Ever Date a Yankee,” which recently reached #62 on the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart.
