Though it may seem like a small world, you have probably never heard C. Charles Jones; whose gruff musicality with off-pitch singing resonates with a blend of many influential sounds——— the folk of the east coast to the Bakersfield sound, from pop to R&B with theatrical elements of jazz sprinkled in between.
Following his debut “Blowin’ Smoke” which failed to meet commercial success in December 2024, his second album “Feelin’ Big in a Small World” has got radio stations spinning around the country.”

“It is an imperfect album,” Jones explains, “…I recorded the entire thing on a SANYO tape machine from the early 2000’s…… the compression is strong, the instrumentals are out of tune……but hey, I like it.”
Being his second collection of songs, Jones explains that he has yet to find the end to his experiment, saying that he is not quite satisfied with what he is looking for in a song. “Feelin’ Big in a Small World” is considered the awkward stage between puberty and adolescence.
“I want my songs to have a narrative,” Jones explains, “….track by track, I want them to correspond with one another……..for me, this album is a monologue on “ego death” in today’s culture…….the title track “The Man on the Moon” foreshadows the idea of an ego-crazed individual who is misunderstood by the world…..and the story goes from there; a path to self-loathing and back. I’m not sure.”
