Canadian alt-rock trio Jaded Truth return with Rx2, a bold and dystopian concept album releasing April 25. A sequel to their 2020 debut Rx, the new LP fuses grunge, metal, punk, and shoegaze influences with cinematic storytelling to explore themes of addiction, control, and self-destruction in a world overtaken by a sinister pharmaceutical corporation. The lead single “Reporix” dropped March 28, pairing sludgy, Alice in Chains-style riffs with unsettling paranoia.

Crafted by frontman Kyle Woodland, drummer/producer Michael Small, and bassist Ryder Whiffen, Rx2 is a dark evolution in Jaded Truth’s catalog. From the crushing riffs of “Corporation” to the haunting shoegaze textures on “Martyr,” the record blurs the line between raw power and moody atmosphere.
Recorded across Newfoundland and layered with skits that push the narrative forward, Rx2 is a concept record that doesn’t hold back—taking listeners on a harrowing trip from addiction to rebellion to tragic salvation.
