Norwegian Singer-Songwriter Explores Love, Loss, and Self-Discovery in Highly Anticipated Project
Rising folk-pop artist Jenni is preparing to unveil her debut EP, Scars, on April 18, 2025. An intensely personal collection of songs, Scars is a reflection of her journey through heartbreak, resilience, and self-acceptance. The EP’s lead single, Painful Riddle, captures the emotional depth that defines the project.
“Painful Riddle” was written in a moment of pure honesty at the piano. The song captures the confusion of being misled, the cycle of self-destruction, and ultimately, the empowerment of walking away from toxic situations,” says Jenni.
Growing up in Bergen, Norway, Jenni struggled with self-love, bullying, and acceptance. Seeking a fresh start, she moved to London at 19 to pursue a music degree at BIMM University, where she found her creative voice. Inspired by artists like Lana Del Rey and Adele, her unique blend of folk-pop carries a raw, emotional weight that resonates with listeners on a deeply personal level.
A Journey of Strength and Healing
Beyond music, Jenni’s life has been a testament to perseverance. She grew up as one of nine siblings, with a special bond to her sister Emily, who has Down syndrome. Overcoming personal trauma in 2022 forced her to step away from music temporarily, delaying the EP’s original release. However, through healing, self-discovery, and love, she’s now ready to share her story with the world.
“This EP is years in the making. It represents my struggles, my healing, and my growth. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about being honest, and I hope people connect with that,” she shares.

Always writing with a pen and notebook, she channels personal experiences into lyrics that are both introspective and relatable.
