The Quivering Palm is made up of one creative individual by the name of Kevin KP Hahn and he is on a mission to achieve perfect flow & musical symmetry. ‘Perpetual Motion Vol. 1’ is the first EP with two more to follow and the unique aspect here is that each song will lead directly into the next. The Quivering Palm combines many elements from indie, progressive & grunge rock to electronic pop that makes for one invigorating blend. ‘Perpetual Motion Vol. 1’ is free-spirited in nature but yet with a precise flow and distinct purpose. The Quivering Palm has created songs by design here and this six-track EP will certainly get your wheels turning.
The record kicks off with “Fading Photographs” and right away the listener will pick up on a symmetric quality. Music is in motion as “Fading Photographs” sets the tone with an intriguing and off-beat sentiment. “Fading Photographs” come to light and reveal an array of colorful notes that fill the airways. Next, on “Uninspired” The Quivering Palm is rockin’ out and putting your ears into overdrive! “Uninspired” will definitely spark your senses and prove to have plenty of full-bodied potential. Track three, “In the Zone”, is just that as The Quivering Palm delivers a short but sweet instrumental that packs a punch. “In the Zone” is in control and offers the listener a calming tone that is soothing to the core. Edgy vibes will be hitting you on the following number, “Bittersweet Escapes” as an explosion of sound is blasting its way into your listening space. The title track, “Perpetual Motion”, comes in strong with a futuristic and interstellar environment detected. The Quivering Palm is exploring the vast regions of the musical universe on “Perpetual Motion” and leaves no stone unturned. A bright ‘n’ bold presence closes out the six-song set with “Number One Hit”. The song title is perfect because “Number One Hit” has major pop appeal and is the most radio-friendly tune on this EP. “Number One Hit” is full of life and fittingly enough has an incredibly catchy hook.
