Unsung Heroes in 2024 at the All Party Parliamentary Dog Advisory Welfare Group –
Guest Speaker Yellow Dog UK’s Alison Gibson-Stark
Yellow Dog UK were proud to be one of the unsung heroes of 2024 at the All-party Parliamentary Dog Advisory welfare group in December at the Houses of Parliament in London, where our UK representative Alison Gibson-Stark was a guest speaker. Alison discussed the focus, aims and message of Yellow Dog UK alongside some other great speakers, including Dr Dan O’Neill and even Eastenders actress Michelle Collins, who appeared as the surprise guest speaker, having had a few dogs from All Dogs Matter https://alldogsmatter.co.uk/ .
APDAWG quoted ‘Alison knows how stressful it can be for a Yellow Dog & its owner when a social or off lead dog approaches and believes that making the Yellow ribbon an accepted representation throughout the UK will benefit everyone, making dog walking more enjoyable and safer experience for all, in turn giving your dog a better quality of life; educating owners/public to understand and recognise a dog who ‘needs space’. https://apdawg.co.uk/dec-2024-
Hosted by Marc Abraham https://marcthevet.net/ it was a memorable event with over 100+ attendees. Marc said he was very thankful to Yellow Dog as due to the awareness of the charity, this has now led to his veterinary surgery now having a ‘nervous’ area specifically for Yellow Dogs. It is these additions across the UK, creating more and more awareness that Yellow Dog is making such a difference for both dogs and owners.
Please do continue to share the Yellow Dog https://www.yellowdoguk.co.uk/ ethos so that everyone can understand that some dogs do need space so that this combined appreciation will create a much happier life for so many dogs and their owners.
