Lucas Jack with ‘Bittersweet is Better’

Lucas Jack is a talented singer/songwriter who grew up in Michigan and was surrounded by music at a very young age.  With influences that range from Billy Joel and Elton John to the Doobie Brothers and Hall and Oates, Lucas is an eclectic musician to say the least.  The latest release is titled ‘Bittersweet is Better’ and the material reflects Lucas Jack’s wide range of musical tastes.  This new record is a highly anticipated album that is already gaining quite a buzz in the music world.

Lucas Jack is joined by his bandmates Justin Schneider and Mike Gomez on ‘Bittersweet is Better’.  The record was recorded at Studio G in Brooklyn and was produced by Pete Harper.  Many different themes and concepts appear on ‘Bittersweet is Better’ like dealing with love, getting older, going after your dreams and fighting off demons.  With plenty to chew on here, ‘Bittersweet is Better’ connects with the audience and has a little something for everyone.

The album starts up with “Runaway Suns” that offers a strong sentiment and has a gripping sound.  With potent lyrics and powerful vocals, “Runaway Suns” knows how to kick things off.  Next, the listener will hear piercing vocals and words and just an appealing sound overall on “Down With the Night”.  It’s safe to say that you will be “Down With the Night” after it is all said and done.  You will be “Slipping Away” into a calming wave of audible delight on the following number.  Lucas Jack delivers a strong performance on “Slipping Away” and reminds us all that time is indeed ticking away, so be sure to enjoy every second.  Embrace the moment and enjoy the sound of life on “Slipping Away”.  Track four, “Not Yet”, is emotionally-charged with distinct notes & vocals and Lucas Jack is simply on fire here!  I am “On My Way” to the next song and have to say that I am feeling this one.  Lucas Jack is in charge and on top of his game as he gives a commanding performance on “On My Way”.  Enter “Door of Love” that provides an inviting & welcoming melody.  “Door of Love” is very catchy and pulls you in immediately with its pop appeal and radio-friendly tone.  Track seven, “So Close”, has a pleasant groove & melody and makes for one enjoyable listening experience.  “So Close” is a sweet serenade for your eardrums and one that will sink in and be on your mind all day.  On the following song “Dear Life”, Lucas Jack invites us all to just move along and have a good time.  Why not hit the dance floor, let loose and give “Dear Life” a chance!  On “All I Feel”, Lucas Jack appears to have a firm grasp of the song and is musically superb.  “All I Feel” is a fan-friendly number and one that will relate to many listeners near & far.  Lucas Jack goes out with an inspirational bang on “I Hope These Are The Days” where a moving message makes you think twice about life and all of the fond memories that have transpired.  

Lucas Jack is already approaching 1.5M streams from pre-released tracks as ‘Bittersweet is Better’ is proving to be smashing success.  Lucas Jack knows a thing or two about penning a catchy song and writing meaningful lyrics and ‘Bittersweet is Better’ is a true testament to that.  SKOPE out Lucas Jack and the new album ‘Bittersweet is Better’; your ears will thank you!
