Sunset Inspired Single // KAE SERA’s “Past Tense”

Emerging East London based singer KAE SERA blends modern day electro-pop with sounds from the 50’s and 60’s to create something which is both unique yet familiar. Originally from Liverpool, the artist grew up in a city rich in musical heritage, exposed to the nostalgic soundscapes of the bands that made the city famous. These sounds subliminally fed her musical appetite, giving her music a vintage haze and maturity. With a fascination for literature and poetry, her songs provide a captivating, storytelling experience, pulling you into her world.

BLONDSHELL – Releases “Salad” Video || Ahead of UK Tour Dates Next Week

Directed by Nick Harwood (Sophie, Blood Orange, Kim Petras) and inspired by the photos of Justine Kurland and shot at the Zorthian Ranch in Altadena, CA, the video tells a story of a trio of self-sufficient women – played by Blondshell, Rana Ghiassi, and Ruby Cruz (Mare of Easttown, Willow) – who spend a day in the forest they call home. We follow them as they awaken in their encampment and trounce through the woods, and through their intimate interactions and exchanges we come to understand their deep connection. Throughout the first act they assemble souvenirs from the forest — twigs, herbs, flowers etc. — that at first might resemble some sort of rustic bouquet. But we will soon learn that this assemblage has a sinister purpose — the trinkets they’ve collected are not decorations but ingredients…

CHAPPELL ROAN RELEASES NEW SINGLE “RED WINE SUPERNOVA”

Chappell Roan is an artist on the brink of pop stardom. Bold hooks, honest songwriting, and a heavy dose of glitter make up the unapologetically honest world of Chappell Roan, who’s built up a cult-like fanbase over the past year with releases like her breathtaking self-written ballad “Kaleidoscope”, last year’s cinematic fan favourite “Casual”, and her synth-pop smash breakthrough, 2020’s “Pink Pony Club”. Chappell discusses her new single “Red Wine Supernova”, out today with an intimate visualizer, in an interview on New Music Daily with Zane Lowe, as well as the announcement of her highly anticipated debut album slated for fall release via Amusement/Island Records. Reflecting on the song, Chappell says, “I needed a campy gay girl song that captured the magic of having feelings for another girl. I packed the song with fun raunchy lyrics that make it feel like a night out flirting with the girl across the bar!”

Post-Punk Band Do Nothing Share “Moving Target”

Toy City Share Video for Single “Margherita Regina”

“Unexpectedly, the band pays tribute to Oscar Hammerstein with a cover of “Do Re Mi”, one of several iconic tunes littered throughout The Sound of Music. But this isn’t any normal cover – the original is still there, but it’s buried beneath chunky lo-fi guitars and thumping percussion, evincing the ramshackle vibe of some early 90s indie rock wanderer. Despite its obvious alteration, the song still retains the melodic lilt of its predecessor, though it’s been roughed up quite a bit. It’s both familiar and mysterious in its designs, a testament to Burke and Shaheen’s ability to transcend well-known nostalgia to get at the beating heart of the music.” – Beats Per Minute

Jeremie Albino Releases Title Track From Sophomore Album ‘Tears You Hide’ – Out June 9

“This song is probably my favorite song off the record and closest to my heart, so it just made the most sense to make it the album title,” said Jeremie Albino. “I wrote it a while back when my sister was going through some pretty serious health issues and my parents would try to hold it together, but I could see that they really struggled to keep back their tears most days. These strong figures in my life seemed as vulnerable as I was as a child, and I felt the need to take care of them and make sure they were okay. This song came to me one night as I was about to fall asleep, and it makes me think of my family every time I sing it, because they mean a whole lot to me, and I hope that anyone going through a struggle will connect with it.”
