Marking the start of a major release campaign, ‘Allo Allo’ is the lead single from Martin Solveig’s new album coming later this year.

(27th April) Swim Deep have collaborated with Warpaint bassist Jenny Lee Lindberg on a rework of fan-favourite “King City”. Famously referencing her directly in the song’s original lyrics (“Fuck your romance / I wanna pretend / That Jenny Lee Lindberg is my girlfriend”), ‘jennylee’s version’ of “King City” is out now, and arrives ahead of the band’s upcoming UK headline tour celebrating the 10 year anniversary of their seminal debut album ‘Where The Heaven Are We’, where the Birmingham band will be playing their much-loved debut in full.

“I wrote ‘The Water’ as an exercise to get myself out of a writing block. I was just writing with no expectations, and I didn’t think I was actually going to end up using it for anything. It became a really simple exploration of my love for moving water, and its presence in my life since I was a child, as well as the scattered memories of a childhood friendship. [Guitarist] Dexter [Webb] helped me flesh out the demo, and it took on a new form— a combination of both our spirits, and both our deep connections to water. Water has always been so magical to me. And the way the earth and stone around it are so strong and stable, holding steady the pathway for its passing through. I feel that way in my life. Like my body is the ground, and my life is the passing water. I find acceptance in all the moving parts.”

After much anticipation, today marks the release of Raised on TV’s new album titled Strangers In Pictures. The Los Angeles indie-rock group have put together ten tracks of shimmering guitar-forward songs that embrace the sun-soaked weather of their hometown. That’s not to say that the band doesn’t turn things up.

“moving on” marks the first time he’s tapped another artist for a feature, bringing in a verse from Khary that provides a rap counterpoint to the sunset pop vibes of the hook while tapping in the thematic concept of the song. “I wanted it to play out like an episode of Atlanta, where things feel surreal, mostly because of the absurdity of certain situations,” states SEB. “But really, that’s just what I think it feels like to be Black anywhere in the world.”
