JD Shelburne Releases New Single “Neon Hallelujah”
“I am thrilled to announce that I will release my 6th studio album in 2023 called “Neon Hallelujah”! I worked in-studio through the summer & fall of 2022 writing, recording, and co-producing songs in preparation for my new project that I am thrilled to announce,” shares Shelburne “The title track “Neon Hallelujah” is the first song release off the upcoming album that I recorded with one of my producers Maks (co-writer of the track). This song was pitched by Maks, and I instantly fell in love with the melody and story of the song – it already has that mainstream radio feel. It hit me like a ton of bricks the first time I heard it and the more I listened, the more I connected with it. I knew I just had to record it because it’s one of those rare songs you hear every now and then that just sounds like a smash hit. You know those kinds of songs the second you hear them. I am grateful to get this out to the fans and name it one of the leading songs off my 2023 album. It’s one of the tracks I am most excited about on my album, so I want to share it with my fans first before the actual album release. I believe this record will take me to new heights and I’ve worked my craft for over a decade in preparation for this.”
Disco Lines is a Los Angeles transplant, originally coming into recognition during his college days at the University of Boulder, Colorado, using his knowledge of piano and guitar to create vibrant dance music. He is making his debut on Insomniac Records with his new three-track ‘LOVELAND’ EP, intentionally coming to the light on Valentine’s Day. The lead track “Another Chance” is a vocal house music gem marked by bright piano stabs, shuffling drums, rising string pads, and a warm, pitched-up topline pleading for another opportunity to make things right.

Speaking on the track, Hunter wrote: “It’s funny how the title came to me, because my boyfriend playfully said it to me one night when I was falling asleep. It was a joke, but I wrote it down and brought it to my session the next day because I thought it was so cute. It’s the feeling of not wanting to fall asleep because you don’t want to miss a second of being with your person. And even though the morning will come soon, sometimes, it’s not soon enough.”

STARRY EYES // “Jetlag”
The story of California grunge-pop band STARRY EYES is both tragic and triumphant. The band evolved from the deep friendship between founding duo guitarist John Shippey and drummer Matthew Scoggins. The pair worked together tirelessly for two years on the music for its uplifting debut EP, Ciao Bella, while on an arduous quest to find the right singer to complement their unique sound. John and Matt eventually struck gold in early 2021 with singer and lyricist Kyle Tekiela, and for three weeks it looked like the LA-based group was complete. Then Matt died suddenly of drug-related causes, and the band’s ambitions came to a tragic halt. Today, nearly two years after Matt’s death, John and Kyle have soldiered on and the band’s story is a powerful rebirth narrative.
