Calgary’s award-winning art/baroque-pop songstress Laura Hickli joins forces with director Samantha Selci to create a riveting story on love and faith for Hickli’s latest music video ‘Finding You’re Not Missing A Thing’.
The cinematic music video follows Hickli, playing the irreligious daughter and live-in-caregiver for her Catholic mother through a day in the life. With flashbacks to a childhood rich in imaginative escapism and intimate interactions between these dissimilar family members, the story finishes with an unexpected ending that tugs the heartstrings. This music video adds to Hickli’s growing list of emotionally impactful works around traumas, mortality, love and healing.
